Not sure if this has been said already but Gally deserves so much appreciation. The guy works his butt off every single shift. Just in the last two games his hard work contributed to 3 goals. His goal against Edmonton, Tatars goal and Danault's. If you go back and watch their shifts on those goals you can see how Gallagher's hard work resulted in the goal. If everyone worked half as hard as him it would be awesome.
He is so good when he lets go of his pea shooter mentality. He goes through periods where he thinks he's Ovechkin and sits back as F3 and just lets everyone work for him and just takes dumb ass shots and makes dumb ass passes. Then things start not working, he gets frustrated, starts working his ass off and hes an elite play driver.

He's at his best when he's F1 and acts as the third wheel on a line, the best season he's ever had was with Pac and Desharnais in 16 I think. He was so great, I started pumping his tires as a top 10 RW in the league .

Leave it to a couple bad games from Drouin for all the hate to come back. He's been good this year. He's just looking for a pass way too frequently. No, he won't be as good as Sergachev, but he's still a useful player. Does that mean that I wouldn't trade him for a top 4 D? Of course not, but that doesn't change the fact that he's been good. Since the first 10 games of the season, Suzuki hasn't been performing as well and he definitely hasn't been carrying Drouin since then. Anderson has also fallen off a lot lately too with just 5 points in his last 16 games. That whole line needs to be better, not just Drouin.

That line just doesn't work. They'd need Gallagher up there to be F1 but I know its a pipedream. Nobody but Gally can do what the Drouin/Suzuki needs. He's also way too small, anyway.

Anderson is surprisingly bad on the cycle and is almomst Pacioretty like in his offensive production, he's an offensive rush producer, he should be with KK or Danault and Im not sure he's good with sustained pressure, which is what the Danault line is good at.

They switched it up so let's see how the new lines do, certainly can't do any worse than lately.

Props to Ducharme. He had every excuse to keep the lines intact after three consecutive wins, but he didn't. Suzukis' line needed to be reconsidered for some time now. I was hoping for a Toffoli/Anderson swap between Suzukis' and Kotkaniemis' lines, but let's see how the current combinations work out.

Not sure i like Drouin with KK and Toffoli, this means KK becomes F1, pretty big waste of his skills.

The main problem I see with the forwards is that KK, Suzuki, Drouin, Tatar, Toffoli, Anderson all fit the F2 or F3 role and that only Gallagher and Danault fit that F1 role, its a big flaw that really inhibits offensive chemistry.

I actually think the line has potential. Who knows if it will actually work or not. KK and Toffoli both have the skills to get in first and recover the puck. Whether Drouin can find a niche in the forecheck cycle is what will really determine how this line looks imo. Chemistry can be a funny thing sometimes.

2 goals!!!!:pullhair:
If we look at 33 games this year, and his last 15-20 games last year, 2 goals in almost 50 games..........for 5,5M talk about bad...............but but but he has some assists, and seems dialed in this year? OK....sure.
Put him on the 4th line and some PP time.

That line does need to be better............the one thing that is noticeable is Anderson and Suzuki are doing other things to get noticed....especially Anderson............JD meanwhile is on the perimeter as per usual. Nothing else happens with him.
He has a fair number of assists, but that's it. All the talent, and no drive or hockey sense.

The lines? Saw Suzuki was playing with Perry. Who is promoted and who is demoted?

edit: Just saw the lines above. Perry is a RW no? That's a lot of size for Suzuki!

I actually found JD to be more effective in other areas than those 2 except for the past few games.

Should've been the captain.
