I wonder why, against a fast team like Edmonton, one of the best skaters, John Moore ,was a scratch?
I haven't been this pissed about losing a game in a long ass time.
Chris Pronger played for 5 different teams.
Wayne Gretzky played for 4 differet teams.
We can debate his on ice performance all night. I appreciate the occasional PP goals; but he is certainly not a Pronger or even Jovanoski. He does bring grit but turns the puck over way to much. His injury history bugs me to.His gaffes have nothing to do with the streak ending when he came back because it ended before he came back.
That is why your post is not based in reality.
yah your right...he is just like Pronger and Gretzky. Like most bad teams do, Columbus overpaid for the player so fans think he is better then he really is. PS, hate to break it to you but he is hurt all the time as well.
The 4 recurring thoughts in my head tonight were: 'Get Aucoin off the ice', 'Cmon Wiz', '**** Toronto', and 'Can we please just keep 11-42-13 out there the whole game?'I'm not feeling that way. I wish Richards would have benched Wiz, and done a few things differently, but it was a hard fought close game. And entertaining. And Cam.
You've put words in my mouth, and you didn't break anything to me.
This isn't the 1960's. Professional players bounce around a lot. Bad players and good players alike.
3 games away from home.. 3 losses
Why are the Jackets such a different team on the road? The other night vs the Canucks they played enough to just to get the OT Point, and it was a boring game. The Canucks are injury riddled right now, but even so, the CBJ just came out so boring. And then tonight. Why is this such a hard thing for them to win on the road? Why do they play sooo different? They look like such a different team when at home, more energized.

Heaven forbid Richards wants some speed when playing a team of undersized 24-year-olds. Richards scratches Gillies when a dose of his grit--especially when we were missing Filigno's--would have worn this Oil team down by end of the second period.
Watch him break up the 4-goal line tomorrow night. Mason finally gets a start; set up for failure after not starting in Vancouver following a respectable relief job in Nashville Saturday.
I love this team, even when guys like #51 are in a stretch of sub-par play, but we need a new coach. Now that we have a real front office I expect we'll get one.
Also: The War Room is another example of why the NHL is the most poorly run major league sport in North America.
While we have made progress. We're still a bottom 5 team that got hot. Still progress though.
Going to have to put a serious winning streak together here folks. This was a winnable game that got away, for whatever reason. It happens. San Jose is playing better, and has separation from us, so if we don't win, say, the next three, say goodnight.
Because we're young, inexperienced, and not good.

I'm certainly not throwing in the towel, but I think this sums up this team.
I figure that they have to go 10-4 the rest of the way to even have a shot at getting in. I'm not throwing in the towel in yet either, but that's a steep mountain to climb in a short period of time.
I think the CBJ really needs to look at a compliance buyout for Umberger. Don't want him wasting 4.6 mill of capspace the next 4 years.
