Hope Murray is ok. Boyle got away with some cheap chit tonight. Boll was hopefully taking notes for future endeavors.

Went back and watched this to find out what happened. Looked like his legs ended up a bit awkward falling into the net when he got hit. When he got up with weight on left leg he instantly went limp. Some sort of lower body injury, left leg. Don't know if it is serious or not but was definitely bothering him.

He looked off his game in the first. But there was no moment where he looked to get hurt, so I really don't think its serious.

I noticed him get hurt. There was a pileup in the crease and he was slow to get up. Was on his knees facing the net for a while.

McKenna stepped it up, though

The Nash-Richards-Hagelin line was a combined -7. As much as I liked Nash, I don't think this organization should regret that trade for a second. I think it can be said that the results of that trade are trending in our favor.

No, no, no. This team is young and has an identity which they sometimes (and recently frequently) play to. Nash would set that back, imo.

You just can't have Nash as being a leader(he was the captain & you just can't take that away from him & keep him on the team) on a team who's identity is hard work. That doesn't work.

It's getting to the point where I'd consider that trade even if Nash HADN'T requested a trade. It certainly turned the team around, well that and Richards stepping in and knowing how to be an effective coach. I love Nash and he's certainly one of the best wings in the NHL at the moment, but the attitude overhall that came moving him was super important.

Say what you will about Howson but I certainly wouldn't have done that well with the Carter fiasco, trading Nash, and making the call to draft Murray (among others).

That's the Nash we all know and love!

Actually, with regards to the Joey vs. Nash and all that, I'd take Nash back in a heartbeat. I'd love to see Foligno - Johansen - Nash. Maybe Horton fills that hole?

Ugh, I would not want Nash within a million miles of this roster. He brings zilch.

Howson should look at tonight's box score and grin ear to ear.

I agree that Howson does deserve kudos for pulling the trigger on that trade. That trade and the front office changes (unfortunately for him) completely changed the culture of the franchise. Continue this play and blend in Good Bob, Horton and Gaborik, this club will be extremely fun to watch. The line combination will be interesting.

Foligno-Johansen-Horton
Umberger-Anisimov-Gaborik
Calvert-Dubinsky-Atkinson
Comeau-MacKenzie-Letestu
Boll, Tropp

That's a legitimate lineup that can play any style. I like what I'm seeing. Let's just hope that McBackup isn't hurt badly. If he is, GMJK has to make a move.

Nikitin still wasn't on the ice for any opposition goal , but somehow got a minus. When D.Moore scored the Johnson-Prout pair was on the ice, anyone except the NHL stats people could see it. Somehow they gave minuses to Nikitin and Tyutin.

They probably hate Russians (insert a smily here).

Richards says McElhinney injury actually initially happened in morning skate. #CBJ

I'm seriously concerned about Nikitin-Tyutin plus-minus. Is this a bush league or what? Who is tracking the stats in the NHL?
BTW posting quotes from another boards worth infraction here (from my personal experience).

Yeah, seriously...not sure what the obsession with the other team's GDT is but stop bringing posts over here, even if not for trolling purposes.

Just enjoy the improbable 4 out of 5. And hope the momentum carries over to the STL game. We'll need all the help we can get.
