I agree about Handzus and Murray/Clowe, which makes you wonder if Wilson ever really planned to go for a cup this year or if Plattner told him to sell at the deadline regardless. Even if you are trying to improve player value, doing so at the detriment of your team for that period of time seems kind of crazy.

I don't think either of them thought it would be that much of a detriment to the team, so why not play those guys and keep your options open?

Exactly. And it is not like they are completely screwed at this point. They are still sitting at 8th seed and still have a good chance of making the playoffs.

sure, but after they kept losing, and losing, and losing, and losing and losing...

At some point you guy "jeez, maybe we should field the best lineup we can for awhile"... seems like they finally did, but talk about waiting until the last minute.

They probably weren't chalking that losing streak up to playing the wrong 6th defenseman and 3rd/4th liners, and to be fair that's not what's keeping this team from being a Cup contender.

Question: Why do the Sharks have to play on back to back nights at home, while tomorrows opponent, Detroit, has been off since Monday?

Home ice advantage my ass.

Ducks come out flying scoring twice in the 1st period.

Sharks claw within 1 in the 2nd period.

Ducks come out in the 3rd and score within 5 mins to make it 3-1. Sharks score 3 in the last 10 mins of the game to take the game 4-3.

Ducks- perry, beauch, selanne

Sharks- couture, pavs, burns, boyle

I kind of expect them to **** the bed the first game home after a road trip, so

Ducks 4-2

Ducks: Perry, Getzlaf, Selanne, Winnik
Sharks: Marleau, Clowe
