I was cautiously optimistic he could provide some goal scoring depth but he's doing everything and the chemistry with Nyquist and Helm is wild.

He's definitely got a chip on his shoulder after being bought out. Haven't seen him play like this since Buffalo. Not surprised by the skill he's shown but shocked by the drive.

The Wild was a horrible mistake by TV. (probably listened to his wife).He belonged in LI putting up a pt a game with John. The Wild had the wrong system (defensive), coaches and more importantly not a lot of guys with equivalent offensive skill sets, meaning vision, hands, and brains.(Pom is probably their most skilled player) Maybe two or three total. They kept him as far away from those guys as possible. I do admit they have one great defensive center there . The Wild have some young guys who like to skate with the puck and take low percentage shots. Not a ton of pretty goals or great reads.. lots of dirty ones. I guess they all count

I still think our D could be slightly closer to sens in neutral zone when sens forwards are right in front of them but overall they came through with their words.

Also, apropos of nothing, but I caught a sequence early with Karlsson just casually turning us back like, 4 straight times at the red line by himself. Forget our lack of elite offensive players, we'd be a cup contender if he was in our shade of red.

Yeah, he's gone from being an awesome surprise of a winger to a relied upon top 6 center over night. There's definitely going to be an adjustment.

Maybe Ericsson has decided he knows he isn't a valuable player anymore and is going to stop trying to be a hero. But if you want to be a physical force to try to increase your value, I love it. Esp. against a chump like Dion.

I like this physical side of E. He also had a really smart low shot in that period to try to have a rebound attempt. Best period from him since 'nam.

Best period out of Z since 'nam also. These lines look good together so far.

It's too bad Datysuk and Vanek didn't play together. Last time we had a big foward was Hossa. Since then... who? Franzen and Bert. This team has lacked big scorers like them for a while. Would've loved Vanek in his prime - maybe, just maybe he'll net 30G. He isn't too old that he can't recover his career. So far he's tearing it up.

And if Green shoots like this, he'll get 25G.
