I think a week from now will come time that things are evaluated and appropriate action is taken.

What did they expect when they assembled this roster.

They have an extremely top heavy lineup, and of those top heavy guys many of them are very streaky scorers. They have essentially one line right now because Kopitar and Brown are in their funks.

This will I believe be 23 straight games without a goal from the bottom 6, over a quarter of a season, I just don't see how much longer they can go without moving Carter to his own line and trying to add some kind of balance throughout the lineup. Stoll and Lewis look good on the PK, but neither one is a 3rd line player at this point, it is asking to much of them.

They will, they are not going to make any rash moves. The team is right up against the Cap.

You would have to trade out a core player to make any significant moves.

So they will wait....It's Lombardi.

No I don't think its a core problem. This team doesn't need significant changes. Just a good amount of minor tweaking.

One thing that shouldn't be forgotten is that the Kings aren't playing a team of scrubs, this is one of the best in the East. All things considered, we need to see more.

Overreaction central after 3 rough games (OUT OF 82) in here. We just won 6 playoff series in a row people, enough. We are off to a slow start once again. Sutter is going to lay into these guys after this game, relax.

I don't mind being beat by the Rangers. It's the crappy way we played. No excuses, the lack of speed and skill shows. Gotta look at it as this is the day Quick woke up, Clifford played better, and Regehr skated towards a buyout

I guess the Kings decided to finally start throwing the puck on net in the final ticks of the game. This is the second consecutive home opener that has been an absolute stinker. Chicago in January, and this hot mess tonight.

The grinding style of our bottom 6 has been figured out by the league. The oppositions have adjusted. Now it's time for the coaching staff and the FO to adjust.

Past success is no indication of what the future holds.

The start to this season is too similar to how they started last season, looking very sluggish and a step behind. It took a week or two for them to finally get going. Unfortunately it appears that may be the case again with the start they've had this season. Their legs are still behind them.

Why should this even be an issue, though? Either this team is THAT terrible at keeping in shape over the summer, or the coaching/management is that terrible at keeping everyone accountable.

Either way it's unacceptable.

Every team in the league has adjusted to the Kings' style, most even implementing parts of it themselves. We're not surprising anyone anymore. We needed to evolve but haven't.

And where's the leadership on this team? Pathetic.

I'd say scratch Frattin, but probably not the best idea for a guy on a new team. See you soon, TT.

So whats the Top six excuse ? Cause the first line is trash dating back to the playoff's.

I'd say sit Brown, as he's done absolutely **** all in the 3 games so far this season. Absolutely **** all. If he's still hurting, sit your *** for the better of the team.
