I think that's what got then complacent in the first place.

I would say they take longer, like 15 games. 15 to 20 games in is a good sample size to see if problems actually exists.

Or if the slow start is just an anomaly.

The start to this season is too similar to how they started last season, looking very sluggish and a step behind. It took a week or two for them to finally get going. Unfortunately it appears that may be the case again with the start they've had this season. Their legs are still behind them.

I wish we had a Staal to pair with Doughty. Just need that calming influence for Drew that basically has his back for years to come

They will, they are not going to make any rash moves. The team is right up against the Cap.

You would have to trade out a core player to make any significant moves.

So they will wait....It's Lombardi.

And a serious question here but what has Frattin done out there? I forgot he's even been playing.

He's been invisible, but unfortunately so has the entire first line and the third line. The only lines that have done anything are the second and fourth lines, and what they've done isn't enough. Such a wildly inconsistent team these Kings are.

I think RR is bad for Doughty he never had this problem with any other defenseman. Is RR a good locker room guy? Just wondering.

They waited about 40 games to do something....That's half a season.

15 to 20 is not half a season. Changing the bottom six doesn't make that First line not suck.

I'm not talking about trading a core player, I'm talking about bringing-up a kid or two, shuffling the lines, and waiving a guy or two if necessary
