Vegas is a few tiers above AZ to be livid about the loss, but AZ had them beat. They let up and got smoked.

Also hope Capo never plays in the NHL again.
The fact that Capo is still the next man up shows how bad the Coyotes have been at developing defenseman. On my most teams a guy who has battled injuries like him probably would have been passed over on the depth chart.

Capo needs to be play about 10 games in a row. That’s how he’ll learn.

We really have no one else to play anyway outside of Soderstrom and he has even less experience.

Capo shouldn’t get another sniff in the NHL until you go down that depth chart and learn the hard way that he’s your best option.

He was straight dog shit tonight. Capo has looked like shit his past several games in a row. At what point can we look past him and see what we have in players like Gross and Soderstrom?

I f***ing hate Vegas. Their fans never had to suffer for a minute and they get a team like this to watch right off the bat. They never have serious injuries, their players never play below expectations, they get random guys and they become stars overnight. They’re like the anti-coyotes, and they have this horrible smugness about them that I just find irritating AF

Capo was fine, first game in a long time in the NHL and it was against a top 5 team. We've seen what Gross can do and it was more unimpressive.

I really hope BA has added Stillman and Varady as a way to squeeze Tocchet out slowly as he builds trust with XG and Meruelo, while getting new voices in the room. I have a theory that ownership likes Tocchet because they don’t know any better and they’re wounded after the Chayka debacle and Tocchet was the one there for them. And when they ask around externally, his popularity is giving them bad intel and they cant discern the fluff from the facts.

Capo had two plays that really irked me. Both were weak/scared board play. The other stuff was just rust and he had a few nice stick plays and pinches so I can forgive the other stuff. But he’s got to get over his fear around the boards. I fully recognize his injury was hideous. Hell I’m traumatized by it, lol. Cant imagine what’s in his head. But he’s going to have to do better than that.

Haha I remember seeing it but don't remember what happened. I imagine I've blocked it out of my mind lol.

I've liked him a ton and think he's going to be a quality 3rd pairing guy but he'll likely spend this year in and out of the lineup due to mistakes. It's an expectation for me so to see his first game go a bit rough, nbd. He was certainly not worse than Goose. That guy can go kick rocks in Russia, just get that lackluster play tf out of here.

You get in front with two goals, you get the 1-2 an you already know: Its one of those games.... think i saw those f... games like a thousand times.

40 minutes hockey are not enough against this lucky s... of a hockey entertainment.

3 points are not enough for this effort cause of our lsck of talent. But I really like the new offensive style.

I'd rather have Bush in the line up if he's available. Bring in some size and he doesn't make too many mistakes. Just a guy.

Capo was Aaron Ness levels of bad. Weak board play, weak defensively. Got beat all over the ice. Didn't do too well in the Ozone either.

Really shows how much we miss OEL. He would've been huge in being able to calm things down in the ozone and maintain possession. Instead we had Capo not being able to accept an easy pass that went back down to our end...

We move the puck so much better this year, it's crazy! I'm entertained watching these guys actually make crisp passes instead of dump and chase. We've been able to sustain pressure in the ozone and get some extra chances out of it. Coupled with our neutral zone game and we seem more dangerous. If only we could defend and transition out of our zone more like Montreal we might be able to have a 3-0 record to start.

Most of you are way too harsh on Capo. He defused plenty of rushes and situations with his stick. He made good passes.

He had one panicky moment. The other two his forwards made bad decisions and put him on an island.

You don't want Gross in instead.
No, Capo was crap. No two ways about it. Got beat wide and didn't seem to know where to be at times. Hopefully it was first game jitters, but another performance like this and he will be in the AHL when it resumes play. I was hoping he might surprise, and he did, in the wrong way.

Capo was not fine, but he should get another shot. We have to find out if he is NHL quality or not. He is young and playing a very difficult position, so I would give him a bit of rope.

I fell asleep after Vegas went up 3-0. Capo was god awful, I mean absolutely f***ing horrible. Vegas is such a better team all around, to. I’d be surprised if we get a point at all this four game series.

Capo needs to go, bring in bush and run him on the bottom pair. Atleast he hits. That wasn’t just rust with capo, that was straight up unprepared for the speed of the game and hitting the panic button every time he touched the puck, which resulted in multiple turn overs and eventually lead to goals or giving up any momentum.

Crouse giveaway behind the net was the beginning of the end, Dvorak looked slow and was - 3 along with Kessel. Garland was getting hammered all game and his teammates stood around with their thumbs up their asses and did nothing. The reek of Chayka still remains with this soft team.

I dont think you were watching the same game...?

I did not get the sense that Vegas was "such a better team all around". I actually think the Coyotes stacked up very well against them and played a solid game. This was a game that I felt could've gone either way. The GWG was a lucky bounce off a player's back who didnt even have a stick in his hand. I also felt that Lehner won this game for Vegas.

Yes the Yotes let up after dominating a majority of the first half of the game, but I felt that they still had grade A scoring chances all the way thru the game... even into the final 6 on 4.

If the Coyotes generate the scoring chances like they did in game 1 I could easily see them securing at least 3-4 points still.
