I read some tweets that reporter was ripping into Voracek ... he's basically the Philadelphia Steve Simmons, so he deserves what he got todayVoracek could've addressed it directly but been more professional
I don't think I've noticed Vesey very much if at all throughout the games so far. I don't think he's going to last in that role.
I'm in the minority, I don't mind Thornton in his role, even if he's not who he was. He was ok that period.
Vesey is a black hole - the sooner off the team - the better.I don't think I've noticed Vesey very much if at all throughout the games so far. I don't think he's going to last in that role.

This is the definately-no-Leafs-favouritism national broadcast. Make sure to show the Leafs every saturday, but showcase their opponent all night.
Matthews did with the Simmonds covid stuff but he wasn't unprofessional. Got the point across.I read some tweets that reporter was ripping into Voracek ... he's basically the Philadelphia Steve Simmons, so he deserves what he got today
Sorry, Don’s been cancelled by today’s society.Wonder if HNIC will do a tribute for Don Cherry when he passes away.
It’s never roughing the kicker if you get ball lol.
Hasn't that already been happening a little?Joe is only good for about 10 minutes per game though. By the third period he will be gassed.
Keefe should start moving Tavares or Hyman in that spot for the second half of the game.
I don't mind the tripping call on Marner, but you gotta call the trip on Human late in the period
Ottawa's goal is a perfect example of what hurts this team and it's simply a lack of details and effort. Lost faceoff, to a lost board battle to confusion on the faceoff to a lost battle infront.
Simple, easy plays that we don't want enough to even make it difficult.
Pretty sure Anthony Stewart has always been on a bit of the out of shape side in hockey (not as a regular joe of course). Thought I recalled controversy early in his career with fitness. I could be wrong though.Wow Anthony Stewart used to be a chiselled beast, the lack of open gyms has not been good for him, he's gotta start saying no to seconds of dessert
That isn't arrogance. The man is authentic. Last guy like that was Don Cherry. Gotta have steel in your bones to speak your truth on live television. He is so arrogant I want to punch him in the face the way he says things half the time. But he's entertaining.
Thornton made a nice play by looking at Matthews who was coming on the other wing. If I’m Murray, I’m going to expect Joe, a superb passer, to pass to Matthews, a superb finisher.Surprised Thornton managed to get that passed Murray. Poor goaltending to be fair. Shouldn't get beat with a clean shot from there. But I'll take it.
What if it is a lesson for both Matthews and Marner to learn how to defend and Cary the line instead of Hyman doing all the worksOMFG just get Thornton off the 1st line. I like the guy, but he’s 41, he’s SO CLEARLY a 4th liner at this point, 3rd liner at best. WTF is Keefe thinking???
Matthews called him out for sharing his personal health condition without consent, if I was Matthews I would've addressed it with a lot more F-bombs so props to him on being cival with that low-life SimmonsMatthews did with the Simmonds covid stuff but he wasn't unprofessional. Got the point across.
Joe and I have a lot in common, just ask my wife!Joe is only good for about 10 minutes per game though. By the third period he will be gassed.

I like Robertson's energy... he has to keep his head up though, he has a tendency to put himself in positions to take large hits, mostly because he is fearless.Better start.
Brodie needs to be more aggressive in front but otherwise I thought he had a good period.
The Matthews line is buzzing, I might stretch the Thornton experiment a little bit longer.
Kerfoot has looked good, I like his energy on the PK.
Robertson definitely needs a bigger role. He looks great out there.
Campbell has looked more steady and calm to start, but he shouldn’t ever handle the puck.
All thanks to Thornton fans are calling for Hyman.Remember when Hyman was consistently on the top line and fans were always complaining about it? Now I'd like to see him on the top or second line.
That updated rule should be unupdated, there's no way that should be a penalty if you get the puck first.Nah, I’m with you. Seems silly.. just going by a thread on the main board showing a similar play with Dermott in the Habs game. I quoted to say it shouldn’t have been a penalty but had someone respond with the updated rule.
