Benning had an awful game, not gonna dispute that. But Kahkonen is playing at a level that will have him out of the NHL before his contract is over.

Have a look who is generally on the ice to close out the period (not all the time but generally)…

It’s usually the Bonino line with the Vlasic-Benning pairing.
