The most annoying thing about the last 2 years is they've just been accumulating loser points. Last year they could have been a top 5 (iirc) if they didn't have all those stupid shootout/ot losses.

I couldn't believe it when Couture passed back to Erik in OT, when Erik had done a great job holding the puck after two minutes on ice and then gave Logan a perfect scoring chance. And it would have been nice to see Timo score the OT winner.

Yea that was brutal. Like, I get Karlsson is the engine and that players are reluctant to take normal shots during OT (turnover risk), but man that was just the absolute wrong play.

Also, not that it matters, but did Garland get his stick on Timo's hands at the last second?

I mean apart from the PP goal he didn't have any tough saves to make. OT is OT, we know that if a team doesn't score on their break then the puck is going back the other way.

After watching it back, he could have gone right in tight because Pettersson wasn't catching him (he had fallen over trying to cut off the pass back).

To be fair, who else should get the minutes? Megna and Karlsson are a great pairing, but after that, Benning is probably the best of the rest? Even with everyone healthy, even with a mini-resurgence from Vlasic, Ferraro and Simek have just been awful and Cicek has been exposed quite a few times now.

Not sure about this Kahkonen guy. Can we ask for Hill guy back from Vegas?

Peeking at Hill's stats, he looks like he's about average this year? 90.6% seems low, but quite frankly, scoring has been up for a few years now and I wonder if expecting a 91%+ is a relic of the mid-2010s.
