and with all the one goal loses has this team ever come close to scoring with their goalie pulled?

All the positivity goes out the window in about 1 minute. Defense not clearing out up front along with a goalie moving laterally to play the one-timer. It's going to happen.

Wilson will be targeting Lindgren tomorrow.

Kakko and Laf had around 11:30 of ice time. They should be on the PP.

How many times have we seen Georgiev get beat and then get beat again immediately after. Just completely loses his composure. He throws games away. That rebound I’m just amazed by it. Horrible.

They had some amazing chances early, but Vanicek made some great saves. They were the better team, finally have a healthy roster, and are playing really well going into an important stretch. They just need the goaltending to stabilize and be even 20% of what it was last season

Disappointing loss, but if we play that way most nice we should win more than we lose. We probably made 3 obvious defensive mistakes all game and got burned on 2 on them.
Caps goalie was the #1 star
Our PP (and 6v5) is far too static and needs a change up. Swap Kakko and Blackwell, also wouldn't mind seeing Chytil at wing (although it would mean 3rd line minutes for Rooney).
Overall the D played a really good game and our PK was great again.

3 stars:
Panarin
Fox
Lindgren
HM: Strome and Trouba

inconsistency and a total lack of a spine is the modus operandi of the team this season. they face the tiniest bit of adversity and they collapse. that’s on the entire organization from management to coaching to personnel. its a hill they have to climb over if they have any hope of success in the playoffs.

they played an anazing 53+ minutes but completely fell apart. the tying goal completely demoralized them. it sucks. it hurts. it’s frustrating. and, worst of all, it’s totally predictable.

this team has the talent to defeat any team in a 7 game series. they have the talent to blow out teams on a nightly basis. they don’t have the consistency or will to do so. we played so well just to play so poorly. one bad play is all it takes. but one bad play quickly became two bad plays, and it’s why we have the record we have.

We played well, not going to complain about this loss. It was nice to feel the stress of a tight well played game.

you should complain. You should always complain when goaltending fails.

Have you ever hurt your groin? And are you a professional player who’s well being literally depends on having a long career? Just because you don’t have a job doesn’t mean Igor wants to lose his.
Don’t even bother bro, even a Hall of Fame goalie wasn’t good enough for his standards.

I don't get the meltdowns.

We were the better team. Best goal-scorer who ever lived won the game by himself.

It's the same game the Capitals have won 300 times.

its the second goal that sealed the deal for me. one bad play shouldn’t spell the end of the game, but for this team it consistently does.
