I know we're kind of fired up after a loss (not sure why we react with such extreme hyperbole). I didn't see the first two periods, but I thought we looked pretty good for a lot of the third. Plenty of scoring chances. Quick had to make some big saves.

They were terrible in the second except for the PP goal

Since quoting is broken...

I don't think the OT goal had anything to do with Johansen's conditioning, I think he got caught puck watching. That's his guy with the puck, maybe he was supposed to take the guy streaking, but maybe it was Saad's guy. It seemed like a miscommunication more than anything.

Stop. Johansen came out and said in the post game interview it was his guy/his fault.

Boy, this team might be farther away from winning than I thought. I think it's going to take several seasons to get these guys educated and in shape. I was hoping that wasn't the case, but it's becoming more and more clear that it is. Joey needs to lose 15 pounds and quit partying so much, he looks slow and has all season, I've said it over and over, and he's lost his hands. We are in trouble boys, Torts knows it. Todd was a nice guy and everyone loved him because apparently he didn't push anyone in practice, and didn't teach the game. Torts has a mountain to climb here.

Okay, fine? I still don't think it has anything to do with his conditioning

Agreed. I think. He does look slow, though.

The Jackets don't look like they've done much 3 on 3 practice to me. Nonetheless, Johansen may not be the guy you want out there.

It's fast-paced pond hockey (I love it btw....I always look at the replays of all OT games on nhl.com) that seems best suited for your fastest skaters. Johansen and Hartnell, the two leading CBJ scorers, aren't really ideal for the 3 on 3. I'd would have gone with a mix of Calvert, Atkinson, Karlsson and Foligno tonight.

Unfortunate what happened to Bob with 5 minutes left. It looked like the CBJ were going to steal a game which they really didn't deserve. Tonight was the type of game that this team really couldn't afford to lose.

I am detecting a faint voice in the distance which might be a fat lady singing.

I am disgusted. The way we played that game was like it was 2004 again and we were ahead by one goal when we should have been behind by five and rather than trying to increase the lead we hang on trying to protect that one goal lead for 2 periods.

And Johanson was awful tonite.

Agree with everything but the bolded. He put those two defenseman on a turnstile, but that was about all he brought tonight. His passing has become questionable

We are not one blueliner away

He's out of shape, you can see it in his skating, he's overweight and needs to drop 15 pounds and quit partying. He's out partying with the ice girls all the time, I know people that know. The same people that didn't want to trade Nash or the ones saying not to trade Johansen, but look what we got for Nash and it turned our franchise around. Might be time to start seriously considering it, only for a huge return, but we need D so badly....

He made a few moves but didn't finish so it was all for not. The one move he didn't really even get a shot. Big time players beat the D wide by busting their ass, he doesn't do that anymore because he's out of shape.

I mean, they still took a point away from this. That is a little better than the early season losses at home by 2+ goals. Certainly not what the team should be aiming for, but they are keeping it close and losing in all sorts of different ways

You must be deaf; she's been singing at the top of her lungs for weeks now. Unfortunately she's singing a song that we all know too well.

This has to be at least the 5th or 6th game we have given up 2 or more goals in the third. That's brutal.

After hearing Torts press conference, at first I thought he was taking the loss way too hard. We didn't look bad the first 25 minutes of the game. Then I realized that maybe I SHOULD be taking the loss that hard and that's why our franchise sucks year after year. We look for the silver lining instead of hating the losing.

If we had been trailing by 1 and 2 goals instead of leading, the whole atmosphere of the game changes. We got lucky and scored without really doing much. We had 11 SOG through almost 2 periods.

Torts was blunt in the press conference about his displeasure with Joey's game. And since Joey admitted that it was his blown coverage that allowed for the winning goal, I think it may be time for Torts to let Joey watch one or two from the press box.

But of course, Torts would have to be ready to take a savage tongue lashing from Viqsi for mistreating poor, misunderstood Joey.
