Big Game Story: Just two points separate these Pacific Division rivals as they battle for positioning in the race to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
This is the third of five meetings. The teams have split the first two games, both of which were played at Jobing.com Arena. The series shifts to Los Angeles on Monday.
Unlikely either team can catch Anaheim for first, both clubs should be in mix for fourth place and home-ice advantage in the Western Conference opening round.
Kings need to remind the Coyotes which team won the Stanley Cup Championship. GO KINGS GO !!!

Forward KYLE CLIFFORD said:
"We kind of have that New England Patriot mindset where we don't want to lose two in a row. Coming off a two-game loss, that's big for us, we definitely wanted to come back here and get the win."
Rookie Forward TYLER TOFFOLI said:
"Richie and Carts were talking the whole game, telling me what to do, and I was just listening to them. Obviously, they’re great players and great role models. I was just trying to keep it simple and keep doing what they were telling me to do, and I thought we had a pretty good game."
Head coach DARRYL SUTTER said:
"You guys asked this morning about Tyler Toffoli, about what he was supposed to be or if he was a goal scorer…He’s a goal scorer, but he’s a guy who obviously knows the game because he’s a very good penalty killer, and even this year, in his first year in the American League, he’s scored shorthanded goals. So he knows the game. He’s supposed to do that. What do you mean, ‘did I like that?’ You’re supposed to do that, right? You’re supposed to backcheck. If you don’t backcheck, you play in the American League or you don’t play at all, or you play over-age in the Ontario League. That’s not ‘did I like it?"

- UPCOMING SCHEDULE -
March2013ScheduleBIG_zps9ce1b816.png

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

Who's starting?

Btw puck, it's Monday morning 11am, you shouldn't of partied so hard..

Quick is expected to start. Same lines as the last game

I wish Bernier was startign. I know eventually Quick will be our go to guy, and we will need him. However with the short season you need to go with the hot hand.
Why not Benier today and Quick tomorrow?

I thought the same thing and I guess it's cause you don't want a fatigued team to be supporting quick. So I think it's best to give the fresher team to quick.

Because JQ is the starter. Quick has already sat out 1 1/2 game. For him to sit out another game would be too much. It's time for Quick to go back in net. I'm glad DS sees it the same. Don't be surprised to see JQ back in net again tomorrow, especially if the kings win tonight.

He'd be crazy to put him in tomorrow even if he wins tonight. It hasn't worked, too risky. Let him win some games consistently on a normal game schedule, not back to back. That's too much.

Some of you guys put waaaaay too much emphasis on goalie playing b2b games. It's one thing if JQ had played past 5 games or so, but that obviously isn't the case. He's well rested. If anything, DS may want to get JQ going by playing him b2b.

JQ with a fresh defense in front of him tonight is the best solution. JB tomorrow. Whoever does better can start Thursday.

That's my one gripe with Sutter this year...every time he's tried to play the same goaltender back 2 back, it's backfired.

I have no problem with Quick starting (although he's being outplayed by JB) AS LONG AS Bernier gets the start tomorrow.

Not really it was night and day when quick played back to back last week or so. The only reason he's starting quick today and not tomorrow is because I'm sure Sutter doesn't want our defense being lazy in case they are fatigued tomorrow.
It's the right move unless quick gets the start tomorrow too.

Just because he had an off game doesn't mean because it was a b2b game. Believe it or not, JQ and many other goalies do play both games of a b2b and they actually do well.

Believe it or not JQ hasn't been JQ this season. It's a risk not worth taking at this point.

I get that Quick is our guy, but in the short season I think you have to go with the hot hand.

Sad to see the Kings retiring the nicest jersey they have ever had.

I have worn that jersey all over the country and around the world and have always gotten compliments on it.

The new one, not so much.

And you can't start a goaltending controversy, Quick has not been good this year, but he has equity built up, they aren't going to move him to backup after what he did last spring.
