As if that matters, he's 18 with tons of energy. Our team sucks, who cares. Give the fans something to be excited about. Slaf on the 3rd is just horrible. I stand by my lines and think that they destroy Marty's lines.
Yep play the kid and play him against whoever

Horrible contract. Which one is worse him or Kadri?
Kadri is leading the team in goals and he has been solid for most of the year. No one should have expected him to repeat last year as it was a career year. A 7 million contract is going to be all 2nd liners fairly soon

I agree. Showcasing doesn’t really justify Dach over Slaf there though…

We’re obviously all waiting for that trio since the draft as fans.
Bunch of useless vets that Marty is being forced to "showcase". If these are actually Marty's decisions then maybe he was better off coaching pee wee.

Exactly. Hopefully after the trade deadline they finally put him there for good. Sooner the better.

Problem is he's aging and the flames are going nowhere. I expect him to start coasting more and more.

Can we just start with using him on the 1st PP and go from there?

Who cares? Slafkovsky does cause if you put him there while not being ready, and he will most likely get destroyed, then you'll have to put him back down.......and that sucks even more and he will care a lot then.

I have something to be excited as a fan

My whole goal this season is to see Caufield break the 40 goals mak and, Suzuki hit more than PPG. Going very well!
That hasn't happened in forever.

93-94 Damphousse scored 40...the last Hab to do it. A rich history tainted by almost 30 years of mediocrity

It already pretty much is.

Real 1st liners make over 8 millions now. I mean we pay Anderson 5.5 ...

Yeah his refreshing aura is starting to fade.
Yeah it may be as frustrating for him as it is for us. The simple out is to use the Kids in all game situations you want to see growth in. I can't believe he doesn't see that. What I can believe is we have a management group who are pulling their hair out (if they have any) :sarcasm: trying to find a solution to the toxic pool of waste(d) assets.

In a season where we are going nowhere why not play Montembeault a bit more...he is clearly better on home ice.

With Allen in net the Habs will be down 2 before the game is 7 minutes old.

Slaf one of the only guys who hasn't been tried with Caufield and Suzuki.

I think it's time to put Dach back at C and give Slaf some responsibility and see how he reacts.
No just No. Never mind the being a raw rookie. Slaf hasn't done nearly enough to warrant that. The last two players to rise up the ranks were Danault and Suzuki and they did a whole heck of a lot more than Slaf has done to get bumped. If we had a proper team with depth Slaf could easily have found himself in Laval but third line tops.

Dach
Caufield Dvo Slaf
Suzuki

Imagine af wipping his hard cross ice oasdes to Caufielf, Suzuki feeding either Caufield and Slaf for one-time from either side, or walking down the middle li e for writers if they're covered...

So which leaf homer network is doing the english broadcast tonight?
There ought to be a ROC English language option that completely does away with Toronto-based networks.

For those of us who enjoy Pierre Houde, we can at least bypass Fig stations on weekdays.
