Belesky? I thought he played well last season and is just going thru a rough patch right now.
Nash? I actually think he's playing well for a fourth liner.
Spooner? Maybe but he might just have a confidence issue he needs to work through.

I guess I could see Vats and Acciari replacing Hayes and Nash, but they will struggle as well being rookies.

I hope Nash stays in the lineup. He's a great possession player from the eye test (who knows what the analytics say) in my opinion, but he just doesn't have much offensive upside. I guess they could alternate Acciari and Nash based on who's playing better.

Hayes is gone I would think - Spooner could join Morrow as guys who go in and out

C. Miller was great last night. Needs to unload that shot. He's not using his best asset. Best shot on the team.

Backes is fine, both he and Krejci are known for slow starts, compile that with the new team for Backes & the bionic hip for Krejci and I'll lengthen my leash a little. They both look better and better as the season moves on......Hayes on the other hand......WYSIWYG.

No way I'd have Hayes on the 2nd line with Krejci while pushing Backes to C the 3rd, no way.

Krejci would cry inside.

He's scoring at a 26 goal pace, is really solid defensively, is our best net front presence, and throws the occasional big hit. Seems more than fine to me. Krejci was definitely a problem early on, I didn't see much improvement over the first 20 games when others were saying so....same with Krug. It's only the last 4-5 games that I can say they're both looking much better.

I'd LOVE to see Randell called up. Love what he brings.

Rinaldo is not a viable solution/transaction . He still MUST sit out his 5 game suspension if you recall him. The net result is loss of a roster spot/Cap space as well as he personally loses out on ~ 50K to 60K in salary for the year.

Aint happening.

I would also love to see Randall called up...Zac R...nope

In the old days (like uhh, 4-5 years ago), Claude would start the next game against the Caps with Randell, Backes, McQuaid, Killer, and Chara at the dot. Turkey Trotz would get the lineup, send out his matching guys, and as quick as you can say "3 fights in 4 seconds against Dallas" it would be on like Donkey Kong.

But alas, those days are gone.

Hopefully that goal gives CMiller some confidence going forward. Would like to see McQuaid and Morrow rotating a bit now, especially seeing how McQuaid isn't getting much icetime anyways.

I'll always absolutely loathe the Habs but, is there a more unlikable team than the Washington ****ing Capitals? Highest ******* quotient in the league.

Can't blame them though, they were able to run around all night and no one on the roster was willing to up the physical ante, and the officials just let them do as they please.

The team needs some *******s on it.

I can't believe that there isn't even going to be a phone call made in regard to either of those hits last night. Such a freaking joke. If it were any of our players who committed either of those they would have gotten the 10 and a game plus a suspension. Such a joke. Yep, I'm still irked.
