I will definitely take that point after being down 0-3 but I still cannot get over Schaller's boarding that went uncalled. Bs should have been on a PP in the last few mins and who knows what would have happened with the momentum they had, how can that call go unnoticed when Bergeron's had an arm up within a split second?? This league sometimes honestly.

A point being down 3-0 is amazing.

Who could ask for more, Pasta continuing his scoring skills makes it all great.

Rask cant be sub 2 goals all the time, great determination by this team.

Glad they battled back and got a point. But the lack of response by the boys regarding what Washington was doing is inexcuseable. You cannot allow Washington to run around you like that. Where was the nasty from our side? Where was the leadership in stepping up to defend your teammates? It only takes one person to say "okay that's enough" and to stop it right then and there. I am shocked nobody set that tone.

It's times like this I miss Ference, Thorty, and Looch, etc

They would have NOT let Washington get away with what they did. Nope. Not a chance.

the "nasty" in the NHL in this day and age is seen as a rarity just isn`t how the game is played these days, not saying I don`t miss it either

Down 3-0, pulled a pt out of it, I`m ok with how it went

Very pleased with the point after trailing 3-0, hopefully the Holtby hex is now over.

The officiating the the 3rd as a whole was atrocious.

I only caught OT and the last 10 mins or so of this one.

How in the blue you-know-what was the Vrana hit from behind on Tim Schaller NOT a penalty?

I don't even understand how a professional referee doesn't call that. Unreal and embarrassing for the NHL. That referee should be fined for missing such a blatant and obvious call.

Good game. B'z were strong on puck. Colin Miller was great. Yes I said Colin Miller.:handclap:

Wilson should've got tuned for the hit on the rook, DAMN THE CONSEQUENCES.

Did the Caps even get 20 shots on Tuukka?

Jimmy played okay.

Next up the AV's...

Definitely regret shutting this one off.

Got the lady into the bruins but she's not a die hard enough fan yet to stick out tough games, and truth be told considering how busy I am, since last season I started shutting games off and doing something else if the bruins looked like gahbage because time is precious - but this one I was on the fence about turning off, and it ended up being a good lesson for her not to quit on the bruins :)

Will pastrnak ever cool off? He plays in a way that makes me think he'll just score every game

And also why I'm fine with losing one of Miller or Mqyaid, clearly nasty isn't the direction the team is going in

Rask got a little off balance and couldn't recover in time. Poor line change caused that whole sequence. Impossible for me to get mad at Rask on that.

Really galls me how much Wash was allowed to get away with. Happy that the Bs were able to salvage a point.

Good to get the point.
Poor line change by Krejci and Pasta.
Backus (-3) Krejci (-2) Schaller (-2)- Worst line tonight. Does Claude call them out?
Jimmy Hayes- Brutal once again.
Suspension should come from the hit on Blidh but since he plays for the Bruins- I doubt it.

Bruins clean up their own mess, salvage a point

“I had a chance in the first period but didn’t score,†said Pastrnak, who had a conversation with backup goalie Anton Khudobin about that first failed bid. “Anton told me if I get another chance, go five-hole on [Holtby]. It worked out.â€

A clean, hard competitor, Bergeron is not one to deal out dangerous hits. Niskanen went right to the room and did not return.

“I am sorry the way it turned out,†noted Bergeron. “But I am going for the puck there, not the hit. Even he said to me, ‘No problem, that’s a hockey play.’ But yeah, I am sorry how it turned out.â€

“I thought someone was coming backdoor on me,†said Rask, concerned a play was developing to his right while Backstrom unloaded on his left. “That’s not my job, to look for the pass . . . shouldn’t try that.â€

Well, of all the recent Caps-Bruins games I've been to that was by far the most entertaining! Good crowd here too.

Pasta is ****ing unreal. And what a goal by Chiller that was something!

Definitely not Rask's best game, but still made some awesome saves and lord he knows he deserves an off night

This game is a perfect example of why I can't stand hearing the "60 min effort" crap. Score goals and you have a much better chance of winning period. Caps proved that tonight in their 20 min effort.

Dress Randall for the next one against these chumps. Hopefully Hayes will be working at mcdonalds in Dorchester by then .

i personally think this is a must. the kid knows his niche.... 23 seconds grab beagle or Wilson and show them what's up.... every time we play the caps there's soo many dirty hits (mcquaid last year) etc.... they need someone who's going to step in no matter what even if we're in the wrong.... it feels like maybe the coaching staff has neutered that aspect of the physical game telling the guys not get involved in too many fisticuffs... but really unleash randell for a game. or bring back rinaldo and let him do what he does best... but only against the caps or habs....

Ill admit- after they went down 2-0, I binge watched 3 episodes of Westworld.
When I turned it back on I saw they lost in OT.

im happy with the point as long as they get 2 tonite.

Carlo had a rough game.
I watched the ot on dvr and man.
Horrible play to give it away after getting possession on the faceoff.

that Backes/Krecji combo just doesn't seem to be gelling... backs isn't the traditional type krejci is used to playing with... he doesn't have the same level of finish that Horton or lucic had/ve.. backs seems to be more of a net front (Eriksson) type. problem is you don't want to move pasta right now... kids playing out of his mind with 63/37... they should sit jimmy down and tell him listen... you're gonna play with DK... if you don't get on the board you'll be riding the bus in prov.

at least for the time being and see how it works. I like what I've seen of spoons and Czr together... those kids fly into the O zone and make the D make a move. Schaller shouldn't be top 6 and when FV returns maybe he can bump him down. also I'd like to see K miller come out against the AVS in favour of morrow...
