that's the point.

It's still close enough to correct course. This team has been dogshit all season minus the first few games of the season. We are trending down. We just had a 'players only meeting' and the coach rip into them.... Nothing changed.

You either wait too long and lose the season or you preemptively make a move in an attempt to save the season.
 
If this isn't a massive beatdown we are in trouble....worse case scenario Kane gets a hat trick and Drury can't stop staring at him.

This year is like the 80s where teams way under .500 make the playoffs, but instead they will have "NHL" winning records. Most teams aside from maybe 4 have middling records, the talent is spread around. I, for one, am not fooled.

If NYR makes the playoffs with this level of play and intensity then it's an indictment on everyone else.

Chicago has not played in like 4 days gotta jump on them early. Plus they stink. Must win. Must get two points.

It’s a little absurd with all the skill on this team that they aren’t scoring / winning.
Need more from everyone.

They need to play pissed off desperate hockey tonight

Trouba as captain isnt the problem....the guy is playing hurt because he cares and then as an injured player fought the other teams toughest guy to get a spark out of this lifeless carcass of a team. I don't know what more you want him to do.

All the talk of Kane coming here and its Toews we really need as a guy who does whatever to win.

Not giving the puck away with 40 seconds left, and then having his man deflect the game-tying goal would be a great start.

I like Trouba too, but the reality is he's been terrible this year.

Not a chance he’s getting fired in season this year. Not after being a Jack Adams finalist and taking the team to the ECF in his first season. Maybe if he were in year 3 of his deal right now.

The ole Pens and Kings load management concept. I hope that’s the case, but the lack of structure and blown leads make me feel otherwise. Also the fact that Trouba is playing hurt while Fox and Bread are getting tons of minutes also doesn’t align.
 
Can you guys do your best to convince Kane he really wants to be traded to the Rangers and re-united with his ole pal Panarin. Thank you.
 
I’m at the point with Patrick Kane where I’ve just come to terms it’s a matter of when not if he’s coming

Literally the only way I think he won’t be a Ranger is if the team is clearly out of it come deadline times (which won’t happen)

It will be an atrocious decision that will set the team back, but it feels inevitable

If Kane requests a trade I would think he wants it to happen sooner than later - like maybe before the end of the year. The key to a Kane trade is that Kane wants to be traded and if he gets to that point - why would he want to wait a month or two and have to continue playing "tanking hockey". On the other hand, the later the trade is done the more LTIR cap space the Rangers accrue. Even then it may take a 3rd team to facilitate the cap space issue for the Rangers with the Hawks retaining 50% and the 3rd team retaining 50% of the remaining 50% so the Rangers cap hit would be around $2.2M.
