He's injured....they really don't have anyone thats good enough to replace him with. I'm not in love with his game all the time either but he's wearing too much of the laziness of this club when he's doing everything he can while injured to will this club to care. I don't know too many captains that would fight Tkachuk while injured. If we wanna be picky the org is to blame for not having someone capable so he can rest

I have to say, this season has probably been the most infuriating to watch in my almost 20 years of watching this team now. We've iced many crappy teams in that time but we've never had this much to work with and so little to show for it. Literally everyone save maybe 1-2 players are underachieving.
I definitely think it's a culture thing more than coaching (albeit coaching can certainly impact the culture). The organization treats the players like superstars despite the fact that none of them have won jack shit. The country club thing needs to die a quick death

can we trade for Domi after the game? He will ignite some nasty into this group. His dad was fun to watch here.
Domi for 2ed in 2023. Domi can skate anywhere in the top 9, has an edge to his game and is a loose cannon at times. Would ignite life into this bland group.

well this team is just dumb enough to do that, but what happened last year should have no bearing on that decision. Ducharme took the Habs to the Stanley Cup finals and got fired mid season, Marty St Louis came in and the team was like night and day, especially the young players.
But this is the Rongos, the most arrogant, clueless, dinosaur ass organization in the league so they will refuse to do anything, finish 17th place and end up with a shitty draft selection, the kids will finish with around 25 points each, and the team will be unwatchable all year.

Geesh.....if we trade away a first rounder or any of the kids at this stage we deserve every bit of losing that lands on our doorstep the next 6 years because that is how long it will set us back . We best start scouting 11 year olds right now for the next one . It is utter insanity if it happens . What we need right now is some time and astute scouting to add some depth pieces to help our AHL club and ourselves down the line ....no rock unturned . A quick fix for our woes can only be remedied by our own kids and first rounders ......it is a process and attempting to skirt it is hockey suicide . Play the kids and take the lumps.

I hope so but he doesn't play with anyone that can finish. There have been countless times he's made great passes that someone like Panarin or DeBrincat would finish more times than not only to have the guy flub the shot or miss the net or not be ready for the pass. Kane has to be so frustrated at this point.

The type of player you've described, who is a UFA to be on a cheap contract, goes for a lot more than that at the deadline

If there is a shootout tonight, I wanna see KK or Laf try and do the same move that Trevor Zegras did in the shootout this afternoon.
