Not a bad "feeling out" 1st Period for both teams. Amazing how much better The Blues have been at faceoffs since Thomas return. Faksa has won 4 or 5 tonight, too. But, over all, The Blues play with much more confidence under Monty than they did under the unsure, hesitant uninspiring Bannister (who I think wasn't ready to be an NHL head coach. I hope they can score a couple goals early next period, togive them even more confidence. Nice to see Binnington get some rest. We don't want him to be "fried" near the end of the season.

I have never coached a game in the NHL. I fail to see why Bolduc isn’t playing with Thomas. Bolduc has the most jump of any Blue and looking to shoot.Thomas is always looking to pass.

Peanut butter and jelly….

Sausage and gravy….

Thai food and heat….

My theory is that they don’t want him playing almost exclusively against other top line players yet. It’s been my one pushback on it since the summer when everyone was putting their projected line combos out there.

A few more games like this and they may not have much choice.

I have never been a Kyrou basher etc.. but have you seen his turnovers tonight? If he gets looks with Thomas, I don’t see how Bolduc would be worse

Bolduc plays big. He ain't scared of nuthin. If he had paraykos body he'd be unstoppable.
Loving Bolduc. I had all the confidence in him and we now see that he was throttled under Bannister. He plays an aggressive style that the Blues have been missing.

His frame is not yet ready to add muscle weight, but I can see him peaking when he's a little older at 26-29 when he's finally filled out. Comparatively, Dvorsky has a muscle-ready frame and is already adding weight and strength.
