Larkin is a little bitch sometimes. I can’t stand it.
I've said it before...He's a Blashill clone.TBH I blame Lalonde more than anything. He should've stopped the bleeding and talked some sense into these clowns. WTF dude? Where is YOUR game management? Where are YOUR tactical skills?
You’re not gonna win every game you ”should”. We’re doing fine and gotta accept a few setbacks here and there. We were up 4-0 (again). We should've beaten them. I don't care if they are the 2011 Sharks.
Spot on.Takeaways from the game:
- Patrick Kane looked absolutely fantastic. His vision is unreal, had lots of great passes and broke my heart by hitting the crossbar. But he looked real good which is promising!
- Husso didn't let in a bad goal but after the first period he couldn't make key saves
- lalonde refuses to take timeouts for some unknown reason. Once they scored the 4-2 goal a timeout should have been called to slow things down.
- the defense continues to suck defensively. Wallman was awful tonight and somehow started in OT. Seider stood there on the late SJ goal and just let him tap it in. How many defense collapses have to happen before they bring Ed up to shake up the defense
- I don't want to be too hard on Larkin with his personal life difficulties but he had a bad game tonight. He needs to make better decisions.
Yeah, what the hell?I started watching in the second period. I thought Kostin looked great - playing physical, taking the puck to the net, scoring . . . and then, as far as I could tell, Lalonde never put him on the ice in the third period.
Why he isn't getting more ice time or bumped up a line??!!I started watching in the second period. I thought Kostin looked great - playing physical, taking the puck to the net, scoring . . . and then, as far as I could tell, Lalonde never put him on the ice in the third period.
Let’s hope they learn to stop giving up 10 odd man rushes a gameYou’re not gonna win every game you ”should”. We’re doing fine and gotta accept a few setbacks here and there.
You are wrong. Period.Husso let in 1 goal for every 6 shots over an entire game. Just because a player can be good at times doesn’t excuse them from critique when the end result is abysmal. Husso needs to come up big for more than just 40 minutes at a time every once in a while and he can’t even do it once.
It's no different how he pairs D, or forward lines...Confused at the goalie rotation thing. You have 1 goalie (Lyon) who is clearly winning games and keeping the puck out, yet Lalonde is hell bent on keeping these goalies on an every other game rotation. I always thought goalies were about getting into a groove to start playing well. Can't do that when the coach wont play a goalie more that 1 game in a row.
That and the defense needs to figure their **** out.
Now that you mention it - I believe you're right - breakdowns by the Wings led to goals. Were all of SJs goals odd man rushes and a breakaway?
Yeah, extremely poor decicions in the Ozone. Can't give up so many and expect to win.Now that you mention it - I believe you're right - breakdowns by the Wings led to goals.
Yes. Not surprising though. Were all of SJs goals odd man rushes and a breakaway?
Chiarot had a couple of mistakes, like the penalty, but he was one of the better D. He is really good at winning board battles and getting the puck out without an icing. He seems to thrive when not on the top pairing.Yes. Not surprising though.
Walman and Gostisbeer are offensive defensemen.
Holl, Petry, and Chiarot are not good at anything.
I wish they had some solid stay at home defensemen not prone to boneheaded plays.
Joey had some bad passes including one that lead to the second SH goal.Petry looks really uninterested more often than not on the ice.
Chiarot I find had a pretty solid game. Played a heavy hard hitting game in the defensive end.
Husso once again with the horrendous rebound control. I don’t think the game was lost because of him, but a Stanley cup winning calibre goalie would have found a way to make 1-2 extra saves tonight.
Joey V with another solid performance.
Big Moose getting a few to help boost his confidence.
Lots of individuals played well tonight.
Not sure how you can allow 2 short handed goals on the same PP and not bench anyone after from it or take a time out.
Not to stir the pot or anything, but I don’t think Lalonde is the coach who will eventually guide this team to a cup win. I think he’s the coach hired before the next guy. All around above average coach, good with the media, seems like the players like him, but I just think in a 7 gameplayoff series, this team gets out coached 7/7 games.
