Feels like we got boned by the refs. The chia call is what bothers me because of how the refs let so much similar stuff go. Between that and the phantom tripping call on holl that shifted momentum the other night and it's been pretty lousy lately.

Boston should of been called for 5 to 6 more penalties tonight, figures the game ends on a missed Boston penalty.

This team isn't good enough as a collective. Some parts are good, but the bad parts are torpedoing this season. Yzerman needs to nuclear on this roster in the offseason.

This was probably the wings best game of the season. They generated chances and defended well. Husso did his job in net.

But the pk let's in another goal within mere seconds.

Somehow Gustafsson led the team in ice time! How is that even possible? Chiarot and him took 2 awful penalties in the 3rd, which paved way to us losing. Then in ot compher (who was invisible all night) gets to play over Kasper for no reason. I cannot stand the game management from lalonde.

Edvinsson, seider, Larkin and kaspers line were great tonight. I do find Edvinsson seems to play at his best on road games. Just a bit more confident it seems.

You just gotta make it look accidental and you can run the goalie.

Also why does Compher even touch the ice for OT? He doesn't win faceoffs anyways. How are you not running Kasper and Bergy?
Kasper had a bad shift in OT last game, so he probably won’t see OT for another month. Only the vets can be shit players and still get valuable ice time.

Compher, Copp, gus, holl, chiarot, veleno. All these players made awful plays all night right? All these players have been bad all season? Well guess what. All of their contracts go through next year and we get to see all of them come back and do the same thing again. Thanks Chris and Steve!

THAT'S WHO YOUR OVER?! There's an unofficial line for this kind of thing. I'll give you the list. Petry, Gus, Compher, Copp, Chiarot, Veleno, Tank.... The list can go far longer before Cat is gonna be brought up
This dude! Can't even look at the cat.

Blame the refs but this team just isn't good enough right now. Game 25... getting close to a third of the season in the bank. Time to turn it around? Absolutely. The standings are so tight it's realistic we get hot and jump into a wild card spot... also equally as possible we drop further into the basement.

Believe the Wings give up 6-7 more shots against per game than shots for, so your fighting a losing battle in terms of volume. PK is 65% and they tend to take penalties at crucial times. Almost never start on time , although lately that's been slightly improved. Goaltending really has kept us somewhat relevant and some nice production from our top few guys and lately Kasper and Berg.

It's approaching the time to make a move in some regard.. roster, coaching, whatever... you do it now because it can salvage your season. Once you get into games 45-50.. it's a white flag or complete desperation. I don't see this team having the backbone to go on an epic late season streak. If you won't fire the coach, it's time to force his hands in some decisions. I'm not naming guys because we know who.. waive, press box, whatever. There is also a large chunk of players who get ignored because they are perfectly vanilla and just blend in who could be moved and no one would really miss them. Motte makes less, move Veleno. Fischer is fine but is replacement level, bring up youth. Defense? Anyone can replace 4 of the guys back there. Just do something.

JT Compher sucks so much and is such a waste of cap space

It's amazing people defend Yzerman with the amount of money we spend on compher, Copp, chiarot, Holl, Petry, gustafsson...even veleno and ras are overpaid for what they do

This roster is loaded with overpaid losers, yet as fans were supposed to watch and expect results
Compher and Copp used to be a lot better and a lot more necessary. We had no center depth and we needed them.

Compher falling off this year has been a huge blow. It was clear that Copp was going down, but we could survive that. Losing Compher too is really rough on our center depth.

Compher is actually a huge key to us sucking this year. He looked like an almost-2C last year with 48 points. He played with some fire and had some offensive poise. He’s now on pace for 30 points and looks like an average 3C, some nights like waiver fodder. He might as well be on LTIR cause he’s giving us replacement-level hockey.

He's often had good stretches but he's never maintained it. He ended up with copp and Fischer because his defensive game has been the only thing he can maintain.

His defensive game isn’t even that consistent either.

Ras isn’t amazing but when he’s not playing with black holes like copp he actually looks like a decent player.

But Ras is often one of those black hole players…

Who was it from the dmen that stood 15 feet in front of the goal and let the Bruin guy stand unobstructed in front of Husso on the 2-2 goal

Cry about the refs all we want

Boston looked terrible and the Wings still didn’t have enough juice to win it
Or maybe Wings not so bad, like we think they are.
Red Wings were in PP when Kasper scored, then referee took some time to find out it was offside , bring your first line mister Lalonde. In overtime Larkin and Raymond stayed too long and got exhausted could not finish the attack.
