They really haven’t played bad tonight.

In fact some of these guys have done some things we have been looking for all year.

Zibanejad is skating. Playing with speed and assertiveness. Would like to see him shoot here and there but passing wasnt the wrong play on that last 2-on-1. Great game overall.

Lindgren has been quicker as well. Not a fantastic game, average but mostly steady.

Miller has been quicker and physical. Still some questionable plays but overall good play.

Trocheck and Kreider have both looked quicker and have had an edge to them. Kreider just seems angry.

Vesey skating well coming off the scratch.

They have the talent. They need to play responsible.

Too many penalties though.

We've had players who for a short time here may have been better than Panarin's peak (Jagr in 05, maybe Bure in 02) but we haven't had a forward with a career for NYR this productive over a 5+ season stretch in a long time. Gaborik and Nash don't even come close. You likely have to go back to first tenure Messier
