I can kinda live with the result in a vacuum. They scored on their breakaway and we didn't. That's hockey. We controlled the overtime.

I'm frustrated just because this team is so untalented. I don't get it. I do think people overrate the skill level of the roster (paging @DanielBrassard) but there are worse rosters than this that can play real hockey and have quality young players.

Something stinks and this particular issue is only worse since they nuked the front office and honestly since they fired Quinn.

Not that I'm advocating for Gorton or Quinn but this is going backwards.

I feel like I say this every game (I definitely think it), but how were Lafreniere and Kakko consensus top-2 picks? They have like zero skills. I mean there's nothing special about either of them.

Matty Beniers wasn't even known as a goal scorer and look what he's putting up in his rookie season.

I hate doom and gloom reaction posts following a game...but everything that has been wrong this season happened this game. The one time our "puck luck" was in our favor it didn't matter. Igor can't make that last big save. Panarin worthless on an overextended shift. Players trying to do too much. Kids deferring. Laf having the end boards check him better than the opposing team. Trouba making Sandis Ozolinsh not the worst Rangers D acquisition.
I’ve been told we’re a good team and that I need not worry.

Look far worse teams have made the playoffs after not making the playoffs. 2024 is when I can get some excitement back (the POSSIBILITY).
Sure they have. I misunderstood you; I meant having a cohesive core and starting to compete (with a few UFA pieces). Or we could tear it all down — and then hope we’re in it in 2030.

Rangers have no clue how to develop players and just take other team’s overpaid trash

Matty Beniers is being developed by a normal team. Not even a good one just a normal one.

Rangers can't develop forwards.

Yeah but COVID, David Quinn, lines mates, PP time, Georgiev, Halak.

Essentially called the whole team passengers in what was a must win game. Called out the vets specifically.

How was game 25 of the year, against a non division team that is in last place in the division, a must win game? It's one of the lowest leverage games possible.

If you watched them pre-draft it was unquestionable. They both looked like they were going to be absolute studs.

Then the Rangers got ahold of them. I really think if they were drafted in other organizations they’d be thriving.

If just one of them busted that’s one thing, but it seems like most of our first round picks just haven’t panned out. Even Millers taken a step back this season.
