The Kings need to be workmanlike and take care of business tonight.

If they get the job done tonight, and they should they will start to get a little separatoin from the pack.

You mean to tell me you didn't enjoy Kings hockey when it featured the likes of Kip Brennan, Ryan Flinn, and Brad Norton?

I'm just happy looking at our roster now and not seeing the names you mentioned, not seeing names like Ivanans, Clune and Westgarth.

I was a little bit worried with the direction the team was going, using a high pick on a guy like Teubert, with Ivanans and Clune both playing in the playoffs in 2010 and Westgarth's extension on a one-way deal.

I think somewhere along the line Lombardi's views on goons changed for the better, because in the past he had always said how he valued them, and now he clearly doesn't.

Teams just need to have good depth on the bottom lines, can't have that with guys like Jackman.

I think its gonna be a tight game, 3-2 kings with Carter getting a goal, muzz with at least an assist and DD's first goal tonight possibly. I also think (as much as I don't wanna say it) ellerby will get some sort of penalty which hopefully doesn't lead to a flames goal

Let's get a win here tonight and start separating ourselves from the pack.

You know who may have had something to do with that? Darryl Sutter. He sees it as being an advantage for his team when the opposing team ices a goon who takes up 3-5 mins of ice time and wastes a roster spot. I'm also thankful the Kings no longer waste a roster spot on one dimensional punching bags.

At least at this point the kings have 2-3 players that can actually play but aren't afraid to fight either. They don't need a designated "fighter" or "enforcer" b/c they have plenty of people that will step up to fill those roles if needed

Must win...after tonight all these free points from home games against mediocre teams won't be happening until April 6 vs the Oilers.

Let's not forget how the Kings make backups and third stringers look like legit starting goalies. I remember how the Kings would make Brent Johnson look like a superstar. Or Mathieu Garon when he was with the Habs.

Mathieu Garon had the game of his life against the Kings in 03-04. Remember that night, I think he had close to 50 saves.

Taylor of course trades for him a couple of months later and calls him the goalie of the future (and present) for the Kings.

Not hating because I love Bob but I'll knit pick.

Slava wasn't our 2nd pick if you're going to word it that way in '08. Drew was 1, ****ing Teubert 2, and Slava 3. Slava was a 2nd rounder. Don't mind me. I do this to teachers too.

Maybe Bob has tried to forget about that pick like most of us have.

Man, Kings could have had an epic haul in that draft if they didn't strike out. Doughty is a star, and VV is well on his way.
