I know there is a betting thread.
but fans all around the league are giving their tips there.

But I am interested in if you Kings fans would bet on today's win over flames.
I bet yesterday on Chicago. Even they told me they will be not surprised if they lose again... So they were probably not surprised :)
I was.

Do you have some feelings about today's match?

If the game on Saturday can be used to judge these two teams head to head, tonight's game should be an easy win. It was men vs boys.

But LA has been known to **** the bed on occasion.

So...what? Why did we recall Toffoli? It's pointless to have him sit in the press box. It's arguably pointless to throw him into a bottom six role. Are we scratching Nolan, King, Clifford? Doesn't make a lot of sense.

I don't think it's pointless at all.
Bringing him up and tossing him straight in means minimal practice time with the team and no time to get comfortable. I like the strategy of easing him in as I think we get a better performance out of him and a truer view of what he can do.

Do you think he plays tomorrow?
If he gets a game in before Richardson (which I think he will) it would have to be deflating to richardson.

Also, **** these guys up for that ****** bag fan from last game. You scored 2 goals and you celly like you won the cup. Go home.

umm...

Huge game for the Kings. Calgary will be looking for blood and will play as if their playoff lives are at stake (they are). Kings need to play physical early and dampen their will to fight along the boards.

Quick will need to be great in the 1st period.

Go Kings!

Don't mind me. I get reminded of random things and then rant on them and that was just another case of it. Was talking about the guy showing off his Flames logo after they cut the lead to 3-2 (which still means you're losing). Math is hard.

I dunno, that's a good question. I do feel bad for Richardson -- I like the guy and he has got game. But he is gonna be UFA and Sutter thinks of him more as a fill-in player anyway. If Richardson is on the way out then it is a bigger priority to develop and/or play the prospects that are going to be important parts of our roster in the future than it is to worry about how Richardson feels about it. Besides, if Tyler plays well we might even be able to deal Richardson for a late-round pick before the deadline to a team that needs him, so he can get some playing time.

Edit: As an aside... how awesome is it to be so overflowing with talent that we're having trouble picking which elite talent we want to bring up, and having trouble clearing a roster space for them? :D

Just stay out of the G-D penalty box. Calgary's only possible strategy is to come out hard and try to get under the Kings collective skin. It needs to be Jordan Nolan's attitude from the end of last game X10.

Oh, and destroy Jackman without getting a penalty.

That gets me every time.:laugh::biglaugh:

Get Clifford to do another uppercut.

Absolutely.

After Richards got hit, I remember thinking, if it was anybody else on his team on that shift that Jackman hit, Richards would have immediately went after him.
I was a little surprised that given he's the guy whose been doing that for the team since he got there, it took until late in the game.
But I was grateful for Clifford for that.

But still, I'd love to see Brown or Nolan level Jackman hard and legal.
and more than once

If I ran a sportsbook, I'd run this prop.

What happens first

Goal by Jeff Carter (-105)
Penalty by Jarret Stoll (-105)

Penalty by Jarret Stoll

We get it ... but :help:

STOLL has all of ONE more penalty than DREW DOUGHTY.
... TWO more than DUSTIN BROWN.
... TWO more than JUSTIN WILLIAMS.
... TWO more than DAVIS DREWISKE, in FOUR more Games no less.
... THREE more penalty minutes than TREVOR LEWIS. {Did Trev get a 5 for fighting or something ? :huh:}

... THREE LESS penalty minutes than COLIN FRASER, in FOUR more Games no less.
... THREE LESS than KYLE CLIFFORD. (OK I'll give ya this one :box: )
... SIX LESS than MIKE RICHARDS. (I think Mike had a 5 in there though ? so it's a little closer)
... FIFTEEN LESS penalty minutes than JORDAN NOLAN. (OK I'll give ya this one too :box: )

So honestly why all the hate ? it's getting old :shakehead ... Dean signed him for another 3 years, so he's here and not going anywhere soon, learn to appreciate what he does bring; Face-Offs, solid checking, tenacity, solid Penalty Killing, good teammate on and off the ice, and the ability to get under the opponents skin and into their heads rather well.

I might be alone on this, though I doubt it, but Stoll doesn't deserve to be this teams whipping boy IMO.

Totally agree there Puck.

Calm down.

Carter has 6 goals in 5 games this month. Stoll has 6 minor penalties in 5 games this month. Based on current trends it's a pretty fair prop bet.

If you don't think Stoll is known for taking awful penalties (especially in the offensive zone), I don't know what to say.

And as for what he brings to the team, well we will have to agree to disagree.

It's sure nice to have a roster that doesn't feature ilk like Jackman and McGrattan. Not to single out Westy because he seemed like a good guy, but that trade will be seen as this Kings management and coaching team finally giving up on goons.

It's all about timing and location with Stoll. He's GREAT at killing momentum, putting us DEEPER in to a hole (faceoff penalty already down a man), and taking offensive zone penalties. I don't agree with what he brings. He's great at faceoffs but half the checks he throws are illegal and usually from behind. He plays the PK mostly because he can win the draw. Not trying to say he sucks defensively but if he was gone, I really wouldn't be worried about our PK without him is all I'm saying. And good teammate? Well okay but I'm fairly confident that everyone is since all we heard about was how close this team was. They're an incredibly tight group so really everyone on our team is a good teammate. Not arguing this point against him, just stating. Everyone knows I'm NOT a fan of Stoll though so whatever.

You mean to tell me you didn't enjoy Kings hockey when it featured the likes of Kip Brennan, Ryan Flinn, and Brad Norton?
