Like Brickley mentioned,he has some extraordinary tools but needs to develop better decision making. A lot of that comes with experience and maturity,he's got only 58 games of NHL experience, basically a rookie in terms of game played. I'd keep rolling him and Morrow out there to exploit their skating and purge those errors. No dog can learn without making the mistakes. What makes it more difficult is alternating their benching and playing so frequently. The Bruins are a playoff bubble team with limited offense so every mistake has greater value. If the Bruins flat out sucked you just throw them in the fire,if they were top 5 you can suffer or make up for their mistakes. It's a delicate balance when you are mediocre and can't afford to let young defensemen make costly errors.
That's my take on it - and was my issue with them last year also. We all want the kids to develop but you don't put playoffs in further jeopardy in the hopes that they develop into decent 2nd or 3rd pairing d-men. C. Miller just doesn't seem to read the game quick enough and is hesitant. Morrow's first pass isn't very good. Both players seem to hand-cuff their teammates too often and take the flow out of things.
I still think both could be very decent d-men (morrow more so) but it's a fine line that Julien has to walk.
