Definitely part of the problem. Hires his buddy who hires his buddy who likes to play his buddies

The bright side is I don't think a coach or a GM fixes this quickly so it's not like there was a silver bullet we missed loading. It's a learning lesson for Andlauer and Staois. Better now than believing you'll succeed and you have something with this core group.

This is going to be a long haul, team is broken, and the prospects are awful.
We just need some cap space to add some more speed and skill to the middle of the lineup. We should have picked one of Amadio or Perron this summer and picked up another skill guy instead.

Yes I don't know that. However, I have witnessed the coaching staff calling for players to change when the puck was not in the O zone. Some of it is on the coaching staff who are calling for changes in certain situations.
for sure on the changes.

It is one way players cheat though... they'll take that last rush when they should change into the ozone hoping they can score and are too tired to back check and they want off
its selfish.

Green has a super slow team and the only way they can keep up is short shifts, but that’s not working, but he’s trying.

Team speed is our Achilles heel

To get a positive out there, Stutzle looked great as usual. A treat to watch.

Major concern - Amadio. Not NHL calibre tonight; supposed to be playing like a capable a vet with a cup ring. No legs, bad decisions, no physicality, and bad body language.

D pairings were poorly configured. Understood the logic of ensuring one of 3/72/85 are always on the ice, but it didn't work. Will see if Baumgartner catches on and makes an adjustment.

They can play well. And they did most of the time first part of the season.

But when they’re done they’re done. And they are done. Every 50/50 battle is a loss. They don’t bear down on the puck. Soft. No f***ing speed. This core is not good enough to do the right play for most of a season.

That adjustment should have come after last game it didn’t.

Also you’re giving them too much credit. They want and think they need hamonic on the ice if they don’t he simply would not play as much as he does.
