Rangers could clean up this first round and have by far the best group of prospects in the league, and actually REBUILD like they said they were going to do instead of reverting back to the dark ages mentality like they did.

Look at NJ, they rebuilt. And played their kids in every situation and grew their confidence and now they're light years ahead of our group that's being blocked by lazy shits like Zibanejad, Panarin, Kreider, and Trouba.

Especially in this years draft. to have atleast 4 first in this year draft. plus some young roster player and nhl ready prospects. Its what i would try to do but what do i know.

They can't, most of the big cap hit players have clauses. No one want to leave this party where they can stink and still be treated like they are great. They won't even make any of them skip a shift as a punishment. Krav. Jones get the discipline for the whole team and they don't even play.

Kakko has elite hands, puck handling, possession, he just needs to improve his skating and his shot and that can be done through coaching and practice.

Lafreniere isn't particularly good at any one thing. Nothing to suggest he should have been drafted 1st overall. There isn't much to work with. I see his ceiling as an effective 3rd line forward. That's it. Trade him while he is young and still has some value for being a 1st overall pick.

Precisely. Kakko is an elite defensive forward that can hold possession really well and is really effective down low and on the cycle. Underrated passer and has a cannon of a shot that he barely uses for some reason. I have faith he's going to put it together and be his generation's Jere Lehtinen. The steady hand on one wing of a line with two other stars on it. 55-60 points/year. That's a 1st line forward. I'm very confident he'll get there and soon.

The guy should have like 7 goals in last 3 games and has 1. No hes standing in right spot net front and a 4-3 goal hits his shinpad and stays out.

I feel for the kid. Hes worked hard, hes improved his game. Defensively sound and he protects puck well, maintains possession and has improved his strength and overall play.

Just can't get a bounce at all.

Glad to see Chytil playing well, but the fact he's the clear stand-out out of Laf, KK, Miller and himself is really annoying.

I have been silently patient with Laf and Kakko. Only the Rangers can kill 2 blue chip prospects. They need to be difference makers by now. Even if they aren’t producing, they should be making noise. The org might have ruined them at this point. I am tired of waiting for more than occasional signs of life. Their must be some culture problem to keep ruining young forwards. At this rate, we will be lucky if they are 50 point players.

There were a few mistakes (overpaying for grit) and a handful of 50-50 things that I would have done differently (not shopping Kreider after his 50 goal year, though I actually like his game today), but ultimately it looks like they got one average NHL player in Kakko, one below average Alexis Vesey who will hang around rosters for a while, and two zeroes out of the 1st, 2nd, 7th and 9th overall picks in the draft.

I don't know what to do with that or if it's even possible to blame ownership/management that much

Throw in Nils and Lias not working out as wel. Unless Othmann and Cuylle come out like gangbusters (unlikely), this team is going nowhere for the next 5-10 years.

That's what happens during a rebuild until they all hit and now we see the result of NJ's patience while actually developing and growing and building up their young players. Instead of finding every excuse known to man to destroy their careers like the Rangers do consistently. How many 1st rounders have the Rangers completely destroyed? Nearly every single one during their "rebuild".
