They didn't. Basically said they had some good moments, barely mentioned Ullmark. Do they now dislike him or something? They seem to play a lot better in front of Forsey. I guess we'll find out this weekend as both goalies will play because it's B2B.
Stu and Gaudette both praised Ullmark, as did Green,

Green said they didn't have their legs all night, wasn't pretty but got a win.

Kleven was the other interview and I think the questions were focused on his first goal.

None of the players were very critical of their play, instead opting to praise SJ.

Their speed and tenacity wore us down, by halfway through the 2nd it seemed like we just gave up on forechecking due to exhaustion.
Don't discount the time change and thinking they should be in bed for 2nd/3rd periods
More shots has to be our mantra on this trip. That and defense

Every eastern team has to deal with time zone issues, you don't see that degree of "no legs" very often.

I think there's more to it than time zones.

I was finishing up some work, lasted until 1-ish, went to bed before the start of the 3rd.

A win is a win, makes up for games we should have won, but man....that was as ugly as it gets.

1st line was great, that's fantastic.

We've neutered the entire backend, and I fear the two wins are going to keep that intact.

Hamonic neuters every single pair he is on, he is the teams worst defensemen. Playing 23 minutes is criminal.

No clue on the advanced stuff, but the analytics must back that up. He gets cratered every game.

The Sharks are Ottawa West. So it doesn't matter how anyone played, the fact that San Jose was facing a player they traded, a player they would have picked with the 1st-round, 3rd-overall draft pick they gave up, and a player that has not yet scored in the NHL meant that Norris would score, Stutzle would dazzle, and Kleven would pot one, and that the Sharks would lose.

Look upon them with compassion, for they are us.

That's on our drafting philosophy.

Big and mean, not speed and skill.

But why then sign Perron, Amadio, Cousins and trade Joseph- the FAs dont bring any speed. In fact they are slow, the FA have slowed the team down when even last year it was obvious (because Jacuaes Martin said it out loud) the team needed more speed throughout the lineup

I really think the team speed thing was lost with an over focus on veterans to lead - but the Vets don’t lead because they can’t really play impact hockey and contribute to wins.

The one thing I noticed was Brady getting hit a lot and taken out of the play each time, that surprised me. Norris had a decent game, got a goal, good in the D zone for the most part. He and G great in the F/O circle

Even this line was really just Stu and Gaudette. Brady wasn't good today at all.
Not sure what game you were watching but Brady played well. Very responsibly defensively and was strong along boards unlike virtually every other Senator. Also his pass to Timmy set up the rush on Gaudette's first goal.

It’s weird to be so annoyed after a W. like WTF was that game?

Sign Gaudette now to value one way $$, while the option is there.

Hopefully this is Ullmark finding his game.
