minimal skill though. They can't finish off a ton of plays. Which is my point
Yeah and that's why we won, thank god. But outside of goals that's a decent hockey team that plays fast and hungry. Meaning we weren't just owned by a typical basement team is all I'm saying since you first said that SJ sucks.

Their speed and tenacity wore us down, by halfway through the 2nd it seemed like we just gave up on forechecking due to exhaustion.
not a good look at all

something is missing with this team 5 on 5....esp on the road

San Jose has a good little forward core being built quickly. They don't have anyone on the back end or any goaltending however. They play with pace and the kids there are hungry. We have to be ready for these kind of games.

I didnt say they suck....I said they aren't way better than their record shows. They lack serious skill which is why they are bottom feeders.

Regardless the sens should have not been outclassed by the sharks if they have any hopes of turning this season around

its kind of wild how obvious pairing Gaudette with Stü was but Green took so long to give it an actual look.
He’s been a bit slow to make adjustments at times. I suspect we’ll see Sanderson and Hamonic for another 4 games before he finally quits on them

So should NYR, Toronto, Boston, even Vegas, Florida, etc. feel hopeless that they got outclassed by the Sens?

Honestly don’t think we outclassed any of those teams to this degree.

But even so they literally just ended a 5 game losing streak. We got the win so I’m not gonna complain but that was just an awful performance that shouldn’t happen when we’re so desperate for points

If we were in the top 3 of the division like those teams are I wouldn't care. Toronto went on a rip when they got outclasses by us. The sens unfortunately have not shown that level of compete or pride after taking bad losses.

Not sure why people are defensive when critiquing the sens about tonight. It was a bad look for a team that should be fighting for their lives right now, The drive to be better has not been proven to us like those other teams have

I’m not going to lie I’m a bit shocked at how bad Pinto has been.

Same thing for Amadio. I thought he started the season well but it just wasn’t going in for him but he seems to have completely lost confidence now.

We need those guys to play better. Same for Perron.

We have a lot room to be better.

Even Greig has been mostly invisible.

Our forecheck was so good early on, especially in that Rangers game. Kinda sad.
early on teams are adjusting and getting up to speed. I don't think its a coincidence that Ottawa tends to struggle once other teams start playing at a higher level as the season progresses.

The season gets much harder after 20 games and a lot of teams start locking in

We badly miss Perron in the bottom 6. It’s easy to bitch at Pinto and Greg but I think we’re forgetting they’re still young inexperienced players.

Their good play in stretches have brought an unrealistic expectation I think. We basically have no vets in the bottom 6 other than Amadio who’s a flop so far

Our secondary scoring is going to kill us if these guys don’t get going. Top 6 needs some help once in awhile.

That’s probably true. We haven’t looked better than our opponent since the Philly game. Maybe this is all we’re getting? We’re playing like Green’s Canucks.
