We badly miss Perron in the bottom 6. It’s easy to bitch at Pinto and Greg but I think we’re forgetting they’re still young inexperienced players.

Their good play in stretches have brought an unrealistic expectation I think. We basically have no vets in the bottom 6 other than Amadio who’s a flop so far

When he’s back I wouldn’t mind seeing Perron with Norris and Batherson and G with Pinto and Greig. The latter two need a jumpstart and have both had good chemistry with G in the past.

its kind of wild how obvious pairing Gaudette with Stü was but Green took so long to give it an actual look.
Because we had balanced scoring for the first ten games and even after that we were getting valuable secondary scoring from the fourth line.

That’s probably true. We haven’t looked better than our opponent since the Philly game. Maybe this is all we’re getting? We’re playing like Green’s Canucks.
I think we were better than Calgary. And honestly pretty close with Vegas.

Collapsing in their own end constantly. Get tired, then flip it out for the next line to get hemmed in.
Not a lot of forechecking except for Stu. For some reason, they rarely play well in front of Ullmark, what's up with that?

One of the worst wins I've ever seen

Outworked and outplayed the entire game by a rebuilding team

They should be ashamed. Thank god Ullmark showed up to play at least.

Hope Green bagskates them for that effort.

Perron has been about as useless as the rest of the bottom 6, if not more so.

Not sure how his magical veteran status is going to help.

Seriously. I don't want to hear anything positive from these guys in their postgame interviews. This was embarrassing all around and they need to admit that to us and themselves.
They didn't. Basically said they had some good moments, barely mentioned Ullmark. Do they now dislike him or something? They seem to play a lot better in front of Forsey. I guess we'll find out this weekend as both goalies will play because it's B2B.

He had a quiet nigh which isn't necessarily a bad thing in this type of game. I thought Batherson was more noticeable
The one thing I noticed was Brady getting hit a lot and taken out of the play each time, that surprised me. Norris had a decent game, got a goal, good in the D zone for the most part. He and G great in the F/O circle.

Actually yeah, San Jose has been playing decent hockey lately. Lazy just to assume they are bad. They play hungry and are fun to watch..
They also play well in their zone, #10 in the PK. As soon as a Sens player entered their zone, they were on him. Green should show them some of that tape as an example of how it's done.

Fun game to watch in their barn. 2 goals on the first 2 shots, lulz. Definitely been on the other side of that too many times, so of course I was in pure sicko mode.

Timmy was electric pretty much every time he touched the ice. Ullmark had beautiful saves throughout. Not sure how they won with only 12(?) shots or whatever, hahaha. Sharks fans incredulous. Great 4th goal pushback. f*** yeah that one felt good.

Came out so flat in the third. WTF. Hamonic was not bad the first 40 minutes but noticed him in a bad way every time he was on the ice in the third. And I’m a fan.

It’s a fun arena. Was pretty empty. Day before thanksgiving wasn’t sure if that would work for or against attendance. Was lucky to be sitting a section with lots of Sens fans. One yahoo in the back row kept trying to get a “go sens go” chant in the most wonderfully obnoxious and persistent way. Clearly having a good night.

Missed this one myself, newborn at home keeping me away haha

I wonder how much the one day break affected them. Travis Green alluded to not getting an additional day break between starting western road trips and hoping that they would have the legs. Didn’t look very sharp and couldn’t match the sharks’ speed. Let’s hope for a better performance in LA

They get a two day break now and LA plays 3 games in 4 nights. Absolutely no excuse to not show up on Saturday.

Arrows Up:
Ullmark was solid
2 Points
Stutzle is best Sens forward ever
Sanderson has found his rhythm
Ostapchuk looks good
Gaudette is a player
They win without Pinto or the bottom 6 producing
Bottom pairing got a gal

Arrows Down:
It was Ugly
No speed on the wings
Bottom 6 produces absolutely no offensive push
Pinto with another game of 0’s eveywhere

Team Speed is an issue now, Ostapchuk and Reinhert help the bottom 6 speed but Amadio, Pinto, Perron and Greig aren’t producing or even providing any NHL level winning hockey. f*** the little things, we need this group doing big things like goals, short handed goals, owning the middle of the ice, creating momentum
I don’t think Team chemistry as much as the lack of speed on the wings is the issue , Green looking for a Mix but not easy to come by with so many slow wingers on the roster. Gaudette slows down the top line, Giroux slows down the Batherson line, Amadio/Perron are slow and provide no offense, Greig can skate but he’s been quiet this season and the offense he teased last year isn’t showing up, nothing off the rush. Pinto is injured or his linemates are that bad or both, guy is putting up Zeros each game like it’s his favorite number.

Stu should be more selfish and shoot more.
11 shots against this team is worrisome.

Travis made this group abysmal on offense. How is that possible with that level of skill? Or they can't play offense and defense?

Good on Kleven for getting his first goal! sounds like the game overall wasn't that great...but it's still 2 points in the bank.

There is just no speed up front outside of Stutzle and Norris/Batherson combo. Who makes Dman turn besides Stutzle, nobody. Sens are an easy team to contain outside of what Timmy is doing.
