Well no organizational plan should be trying to sign UFAs in the first place but those guys follow talent. Remember how the Leafs could never get free agents and people would come up with bullshit excuses, then they got exciting stars and Tavares went there? UFAs want to play with contenders and good players. The Leafs used to suck and no one good wanted to play there. Right now, why would any premiere UFA come to try and get the 8 seed?

Leafs always attracted UFAs, albeit older ones, remember the 90s & early 2000s.

When Julien was hired, at least he was smart enough to put an end to Therrien’s madness with Desharnais quick. They better do the same thing with Danault but with the HC coming internally, I wonder if they will actually do anything.

Danault should be playing with scrubs on a 3rd or 4th line. His inpaptitude to create anything offensiveky breaks completely Tatar/Gallagher.

A good way to get goals when you’re down two is to play Danault as much as possible with two offensive wingers.
