Definition of smash and grab.

Sharks do nothing all game and come away with the two points.

Anywho, still early days and plenty more ups and downs to come.

Also Hertl is overrated as ****

Hertl is overrated?, This is a guy who has absolutely lit it up for the sharks.

How can you honestly come to that conclusion.

jesus christ, I feel like I am the voice of reason on the forums today, that should be shocked in itself.

If you're a Canucks fan, and you think that was a proper penalty to call in overtime, I don't even know what to say to you. Hardly an open and shut case on that so-called hook.

The reffing in the NHL is a joke. However, that was a call the ref had to make. Anyone who has ever played hockey knows that a stick to the gloves completely throws off everything, resulting in him missing his pass. It was a good scoring opportunity justifying a call, even in OT.

Canucks deserved a better fate, but they could have taken matters into their own hands by scoring a freakin' goal!

Self inflicted loss IMO....Why oh why did Bieksa fight with 5 minutes to go? Trading Bieksa for Desjardin? If you're gonna fight someone with 5 minutes left defending a 1-0 score, fight Couture or Thornton!

Bad decision by the Sedins to stay on that long in OT.

Knew the Sharks were going to ice their top guns at the tail end of a crappy long shift.

60 seconds left I'm feeling good, two straight I've SJ and a well deserved shutout.

And we lost.

Why did luongo fall over? All he had to do was slide over

Poor save selection. 4 on 3 PP, he does the reverse-VH (i.e. he hugs the post in the butterfly). This is a new technique to him, and he doesn't have the experience to get the shin-break push (you push off the net with the shin of your pad not your skate) to get across in time.

Really he should have stayed on his feet because of all the cross-ice possibilities on a 4-on-3.

This. People, stop pointing fingers and put the blame where it belongs. On the team for not scoring more than 1 goal for the 3rd consecutive game. Is it that hard to just point the finger at the team?

Nope, gotta be the refs. Gotta be luck.
Could you possibly have both awful officiating and not good enough play from the team (re: not scoring more than one goal)? Nah.;)
