Another game this time against the Sharks. Does our terrible play against the Sharks continue? Or do we come out and play well? You never know what you get when you go against the Sharks.

Sharks get up for games with the Blues. One of the very few teams they’ve proven an ability to hang with and pick on. Would not mind if that trend continued tonight.

was So.Ill, now SoCA
Blues Projected Lineup:

Pavel Buchnevich-Robert Thomas-Jordan Kyrou
Brandon Saad-Brayden Schenn-Jake Neighbours
Zack Bolduc-Dylan Holloway-Mathieu Joseph
Alexey Toropchenko-Radek Faksa-Nathan Walker

Ryan Suter-Colton Parayko
Pierre-Olivier Joseph-Justin Faulk
Scott Perunovich-Corey Schueneman

Jordan Binnington

I'm liking the 3rd line.

If we lose to these Sharks again tonight, I think the noise around Bannister/Montgomery will pick up significantly.
I hope so. I don’t care about the “underlying numbers” argument. We have youngsters who need more TOI than they’re getting.

Unless there is some great explanation for this, Banny needs to go or be forced to play our youngsters more.

The underlying numbers aren't painting a pretty picture for Bannister at all. The roster stinks but Bannister could potentially hang his hat on developing key young players, but so far that hasn't happened

That would be bad for the tank.

Binner has got some balls on him. He's also a decidedly weird dude.
Most Goalies ARE as far as I've seen, and at most levels, too. It starts at a young age. They get a chip on their shoulders from being "forced" to play in net by being the slowest skater. Then, getting more blame than they deserve when their team loses. It makes 'em nasty. Binnington is one of the few that has been able to vent that pent up frustration, by being chippy (and sometimes downright belligerent). Glen Hall kept it all inside (except for the occasional sneaky slash on forwards passing by) - so he had to vomit before every game.

You've got to admire a guy who came up the hard way, and who toots his own horn when he's first even remotely ready for the next level. Without him, The Blues would not have won The Cup. For the last 3 years he's been playing really well, but The Blues roster has been weak, and he's been propping it up. I think his feistiness, starting fights and all has been, at least a slight positive in bringing some life and energy to the team when they were in the doldrums. Yes, sometimes it hurt them, too. But they got a break with him, when their top goaltender draftees were busts.

Apparently they are 6-4-2 in their last 12. We had better not take them lightly.
THIS Blues team can't afford to take ANY NHL team lightly. At least they have Thomas back, so their top line should be able to score. And I like the new line of Bolduc-Holloway-& P.O. Joseph. Maybe they can help with the scoring, and Toropchrenko can somehow score on a breakaway, too. I smell a win tonight. Last home game before a tough road trip. So, let's bag a win.
