They played lines 2 to 4 pretty evenly. Plus the Kings have a back-to-back, spreading minutes around is smart coaching.

Looks like Richards just kept his shifts short. Kopitar only had 24 shifts

He played 14 min, Carter played 15 min. Plus the PP lines were a bit different tonight and Carter and Richards both had PP goals so I guess that cut their time short? I dunno.

Kings slow starts are going to be an issue going forward. You can't just show up for the last 20 minutes and expect to win all the time.

The only reason I'm not too concerned is because last year in the playoffs the Kings showed they could flip the switch and play balls to the wall for 60 minutes. We've got some guys like Brown, Doughty, and Richards who are different players when the postseason rolls around, as they are excellent at elevating their game.

I think we still need another winger that can score. Too reliant on Carter right now, who has been sensational. Wish we held onto Gagne, unless Dean is going to add a potential top 6 forward at the deadline

I'll wait until the shift chart comes out before answering this further, but I think he wasn't on the point during the few PP's we had and the minutes were spread to bottom line guys at the end of the game.


Bar the one 2 on 1 gaffe I think Penner played very well tonight. The line with Carter and Richards just works better when he's on it compared to the other guys. Sometimes he plays well and sometimes he doesn't but going forward he is the best option on the roster for that spot.

I don't understand why they gave Stoll MR's point minutes on the PP. MR has been our best player at the point this year.

Didn't Richards have a similar hot streak like this before cooling off ice cold last season? As much as I'm enjoying Carter's success, eventually, he will come back down to earth.

Hope I'm wrong on this one though.
