You know what isn’t a pleasant surprise? His defense.

He stinks and his play in the Jackets zone shows why he was the 3rd or 4th choice for a call up.

His defensive play needs work, but he’s very calm and collected with the puck and has a good first pass out of the zone. All of these things we desperately need.

I’m willing to wait on his defensive game and work on it if he keeps these traits. Which is more than I can say for a lot of our other blue liners

The two biggest defensive blunders this game were committed by Gudbranson and Christiansen. Bjork hasn’t been great in the D zone, but there’s 3 other guys who are worse.
