Just because some posters are mad we didn't take someone else. They get super attached during the draft.. and Slaf was a last lock at #1. I had him above Wright for awhile, so of course I'm high on him. People were silly thinking his draft was a Connor Bedard year. it wasn't. It's going to take time. More like an Olli Jokinen type of development, though hopefully a little quicker.

He wasn’t my choice - but that doesn’t mean anything as I don’t follow the minors. I’ll say that I had doubts last year but he’s coming along nicely.

I think people did calm down on Slafkovsky.

At the beginning of the season it felt like people were delusional and any simple play was made to be more than it was.

Today will probably be the first game where Slafkovsky is the best forward on the ice, which is a pretty good thing for him.
