Finally tied with the elite San Jose Sharks. I wonder if the Habs can hold on to get a point. Should probably play 1-2-2 just in case, right MSL?
Everyone blaming the coach but guess what? The D has been crap and there’s a bunch of supposed goal scorers (Mr. Caulfield included) who haven’t been scoring. Not all on the coach. Do what you’re getting paid to do.

They weren't ready to play. That is on the coach. His crap decision making is becoming more clear as time goes on.

Allen yes, Monty no imo. But Allen was kind of redundant before the season even started
skill wise, I'd keep Monty before Allen, but Monty is seeking a big contract according to rumors, and that I dont think is wise to do. The difference between Monty and Primeau right now may not be 4+ millions per.

True contract will affect that.

Slaf will impact all three zones on the ice that's whats so intriguing about him compared to a pure offensive guy like cooley in my opinion

Never thought I’d see that. At least not with how he looked lost without the puck in his zone.

You can see he gained confidence protecting the puck, it keeps working and he’s doing it more and more.

Now even in his zone, he’s not perfect but you don’t see him posting up aimlessly without doing much work.

I was hard on him, but he’s clearly playing better.

Monty is the best of our goalies, but he's never been given the stick long enough to know if he's worth big money. If that's the case, it's better to trade him. But it needs to happen sooner than later.

or ylo...
Ylonen is so disrespected by MSL.. it's disgusting.

20 points in his last 49 games as 99% a 4th liner. Kid needs a chance.

MSL is coaching to develop not necessarily to win. We’ve got three forwards who can be seen as reliable offensive threats. He’s spread them around. It makes sense from a development standpoint to do this.

I missed the play that lead to the goal and the replays don't show the whole thing but I believe you all about Slaf. He was good in the 2nd period too. More of this.

I thought his goal this year was to create a winning culture, or maybe I just misheard him

Well when you have a kid scoring and keep him on the 4th line to appease vets... your developing culture is shit.

And don't point to Slaf. He was always going to develop. There's a reason he was ranked #1.
