He is one of our few forwards who can survive the heavy game.
he's getting there, but he has to add more edge to his play. I find that he engage more the body but he's not dominating the D man down low yet. if he can continue to improve this, he'll be good

No one cares
He wants them to play around the perimeter, that's what they have been doing all season, on the PP and during any sustained 5v5 offensive zone time, it is predictable and leads to constant turnovers and very few scoring chances because the defenders just need to camp the one time from the Ws
With all due respect, there isn't a coach in the league that tells his guys not to go to the middle, no way. A coach can only due so much as well. MSL was a bulldog despite his size as a player and he scored any way he could. We are limited because we lack creativity on the back end like we had when Markov could thread the needle with cross seam passes. It's a lack of talent in my opinion and not coaching.

Montreal
That mostly has to do with the Monahan line getting trapped in their own zone leading to lenthy shifts. Suzuki has the most shifts on the team along with Newhook, but they're playing regular length shifts. Pearson-Monahan-Anderson are not. Dvorak line is better but not by much.
That line has been horrendous for a while now. Monahan is way off and I'm not sure if it's just poor linemates or what.

Slaf has taken 4 faceoffs today in 2 period, he had 9 this season before this game....what are you doing Dvorak?

Slafkovsky might be the best forward today, will depend on his third period but through two periods he stands out more than any other forward.

He doesn’t have does moments where he doesn’t know what he’s supposed to do, everything seems to go fluidly.
