We have been struggling all season when teams keep us on the boards, it's not just today. What sort of set plays are you referencing? I haven't noticed much but I will say that the Sharks don't give up the blueline as easily as we do and they are physical that's for sure.
Well, the Hoffman goal I think shows it partially. I'll keep an eye out and post here when I spot what I believe to be the next best example of what I'm seeing.

Someone mentioned that the Hoffman goal came from a deflection off a stick blade, that is luck more than anything and not a result of a failed coaching strategy. I didn't see the goal but read it here.

Dach injury is a massive problem, but also show how our C depth is poor. Monahan is a good 3C, Evan can do the job on 4C, but Dvorak is AHL level right now and we are SOL in terms of other options.

Barron is bad...
So you're saying..there's a chance? Slaf 2C confirmed.

Is that a result of MSL being outcoached or our player's inability to execute what he wants them to?
He wants them to play around the perimeter, that's what they have been doing all season, on the PP and during any sustained 5v5 offensive zone time, it is predictable and leads to constant turnovers and very few scoring chances because the defenders just need to camp the one time from the Ws

Suzuki.. 17 points in 19 games... 9th in ice-time among forwards, ahead of only Pezzetta, Evans, and Ylonen. :biglaugh:

That mostly has to do with the Monahan line getting trapped in their own zone leading to lenthy shifts. Suzuki has the most shifts on the team along with Newhook, but they're playing regular length shifts. Pearson-Monahan-Anderson are not. Dvorak line is better but not by much.

If you think, like I do, that tanking is bad and dangerous (because you can turn into EDM or BUF or TOR) then you'd understand why I'm so upset about the Slafkovsky and Reinbacher picks. We don't have time to waste and risk with projects. Swing for the fences or this is all for naught anyway.
But you never add what you would do different. Do you want these guys to dive into UFA where everyone gets overpaid to attempt to make a wildcard? We’ve done that for 30 years. Truth is Bergevin burnt the team to the ground. They had no choice in what’s happening or Molson would be pushing for the same thing he always has.

Hoffman, in Montreal, is in no way comparable. He constantly turned the puck over and made stupid passes, while floating.
The Hoff we got in Montreal wasn't the guy I was referencing, he was once a key contributor in the NHL but like Caufield, he was offense only and nothing else.
