I like your forward lines, but my D pairings at this point would be:
Edler-Tanev
Hamhuis-Ballard
Garrison-Alberts

I do like Garrison with Ballard, but we can't saddle Alberts with the kind of minutes he'd see on a pairing with Hamhuis. Garrison can make up his minutes playing the majority of the powerplays.

Not that I don't agree with these forward lines, that's what I would do if I were A.V. But what would be the point of waiving Volpatti to call up Ebbet? Wasn't the only reason to bring a centre up?

I don't know why we waived Volpatti...All I know is that I want to minimize Ebbett's role on the team as much as possible.

looks like Ebbert is gone again......back to the Wolves......i guess we going to rely on one of our non-center players

Just won 4 lower bowl tickets and a 100$ GC to Boston Pizza from team 1040 today. :yo:

Can't wait to head to the game. I'm hoping for two things:

1. Canucks win
2. Quick gets the start.

1. We need to turn things around, beating the Kings will be a nice Confidence boost
2. As a goalie, Quick is a freak of nature. I would love to be able to see the man in action Live and really see how much of a freak he is.

Looks like the team might finally be doing the sensible thing:

In wake of Kesler foot inj, a number of #Canucks wearing plastic skate covers at practice today

Should've been done long time ago.

Sounds like it and Lappy on the 3rd line. Schroeder demoted to the 4th line with Weise and Sestito (for now it's been Manny). Amusing to see Lapierre promoted after that disaster of a game he had on Tuesday.

Sedin Sedin Kassian
Higgins Burrows Hansen
Raymond Schroeder Booth
Weise Lapierre Sesito

it seems like it is

Sedin-Burrows
Higgins Raymond Hansen
Booth Lapiere Kassain
Malholtra Schroeder Weise

hope that Schroeder is not actually on the fourth line, but this is drill so lines are not confirmed

22-33-14/20-21-36/7-40-9/27 with 45-32 in drills. Bieksa skating with Barker

Clearly you and I are on a whole different level of Forum friendships.

In regards to the plastic skate covers. While it's in good thought for practices, what is the stance on allowing them in-game? I'm fairly certain they're illegal for game purposes no?

Good to hear, its too bad it always take a injury close to home to a big player for these changes to happen.

Personally I think they need to start writing clauses into contracts, where if a player is injured in a way that protective equipment would have prevented, but the player chooses not to wear it (Skate guard, those stupid kevlar socks, visor,) they aren't getting paid during their injury time.

It's a ridiculous idea but there is injuries that can be avoided every year that happen again and again until it happens to a star player and everyone notices.

what trash, AV playing favorites of Lapierre over Schroeder, Jordan is not suited for the fourth line and should be surrounded by fast players that can compliment him. (Booth, Raymond, Hansen)

Don't like this at all

It sounds good, but I know that I personally stopped using a mouth guard as soon as it was allowed regardless of how good they are at preventing injury.
