it seems like it is

Sedin-Burrows
Higgins Raymond Hansen
Booth Lapiere Kassain
Malholtra Schroeder Weise

hope that Schroeder is not actually on the fourth line, but this is drill so lines are not confirmed

22-33-14/20-21-36/7-40-9/27 with 45-32 in drills. Bieksa skating with Barker

Garbage lineup, atta boy AV

Last I checked nobody is investing millions of dollars in you. ;)

you don't know that!

Anyways, my point was that I can understand where the players are coming from, but I believe that implementing enforcement of safety equipment is better than leaving it up to the players, because there will always be players that will play without everything that helps them stay healthy

Well this is just practice, but dear lord that third line is terrible.... Why not let lines that actually have shown chemistry practice together? It's like Bowness is running the forward lines too.

true and even the starting lineup is far from set I stone, Kassian will get demoted after his first shift

I like your forward lines, but my D pairings at this point would be:
Edler-Tanev
Hamhuis-Ballard
Garrison-Alberts

I do like Garrison with Ballard, but we can't saddle Alberts with the kind of minutes he'd see on a pairing with Hamhuis. Garrison can make up his minutes playing the majority of the powerplays.

#ifiwascoach

Same could be said for Hamhuis... He plays 1st unit pk, is our goto 5 on 3 pk defenceman so his ice time could easily be made up through special teams, and with Kesler injured we should go back to 4 defencemen on the powerplays so he should get time there over Tanev and Alberts.

Plus Alberts is easily our slowest defenceman and Garrison seems to need a mobile partner. He has worked well with Campbell and even Weaver who is no all star but can move, and looks better with Ballard than he did with Edler because Ballard can skate.

I don't see why the pairings should go in the blender because 1 player is injured especially when the other pairings saw a marked improvement from the mishmash we were using before.

Oh ya the coachs :pullhair:

What the hell is this garbage? Better be a mistake.

I'd like to see:

Sedin - Sedin - Kassian
Booth - Burrows - Higgins
Raymond - Schroeder - Hansen
Sestito - Lapierre - Weise

That's my ideal lineup as well. Put Kassian back where he had some success (also to ward off some of the more ornery members of the Kings), re-unite the Raymond/Schroeder/Hansen line, and make one heck of a crash and bang fourth line.

I guess Burrows, Booth and Higgins are alright, too. ;)

I know I'm alone on this, but I still don't get what is so awful about this lineup:

D. Sedin - H. Sedin -Burrows
Raymond - Schroeder - Booth
Higgins - Lapierre - Hansen
Weise - Ebbett - Kassian

Now we're possibly shoe horning wingers into the middle and all sorts of other nonsense.

If Ebbett isn't going to work at the NHL level, then make a move to pick up a decent bottom 6 center that can win face-offs. I don't mind Burrows playing center for a few games but we need something more permanent and coherent long term.

I like Gillis but our center depth is atrocious was never addressed after we lost Manny and Hodgson.

I just don't get why we're demoting Schroeder (our 2nd best centre after Henrik with Kesler out), and swapping Raymond onto the second line. There are a number of other options (Higgins can also play centre for instance) that would keep Lapierre where he belongs on the fourth line.

Kassian needs to regain his confidence and that is not going to happen on the fourth line. It does not need to be a permanent stable but just enough to hopefully facilitate a spark. Burrows or Higgins are a better option at center than Lapierre on the third line at all. He has been dreadful this season, excluding a few sporadic instances. Moving him up right now seems like a counter-productive strategy.

This, players will always go for the comfort, because they assume the risk is just an injury. An for the most part that's all it is, they don't lose any pay because they are out with a hockey injury. But the owners investing millions in them do.

Similar but different situation, if I'm driving without a seatbelt and get into an accident and get injured my level of compensation is much less or non-existant because they provided me with a safety device that I decided not to use, why isn't a similar concept used on players when their is a means to protect themselves but they choose not to.

Let's hope Schneider comes to play. But if he lets in more than 3 goals this time, you seriously gotta rethink whether he is good enough to be the #1 starter or not.

He's been average.

Time to show up or shut up Schneider.
