What exactly was the point in having Jacques Martin coach this team last year if some critical changes weren’t coming to the roster? Absolutely nothing has changed. I would have thought at least one of the core pieces would be shipped out last offseason but nope…and here we are again
Here's my theory. They started playing better/winning after JM got here, but he thought it was because of him...but it really was because that's what they do once they're out of the mix and the pressure's off.

After the last game, Green said he could feel the team sag once it was 2-0. I predict that they will start playing better after they're out of it again, and Green and co. will think they've righted the ship so go with the same crew next season and find out next November it's SOS (same ole sens). It really does feel like Groundhog Day.

What are the odds, Sens have one of their best periods of the season and scrap out at least 1 point?
They're gonna come out flying and get it tied at 3. Then 90 seconds later Linus Skidmark will let in a floater from the point to make it 4-3 Canucks.

They concede an empty net goal and lose 5-3.

Tkachuk slams his stick in frustration.

Zero life from the offense and horrendous defensive reads. I'm assuming we grab another top 10 pick but what scares me is next year we might be forfeiting a top 5.

At this point I wouldn't mind blowing it up again, because we're not going anywhere with this sorry excuse of a team. Blow it maybe Staios will do a better job at rebuilding.

Don't need to really.

Trade the most expendable highest value player.

Bam feels like a new team.

All of Perron, Amadio, Cousins, Gaudette, MacEwen, Kleven, Hamonic all dressing in the same game.. not a recipe I like. This team's depth is terrible once again. It puts a lot of pressure on the Top-5 guys and the 2 young-ish guys in Pinto and Greig who are asked to be the 6th and 7th best forwards on the team even though they're not there yet.

This is how the lineup should be built :

Tkachuk - Stutzle - Batherson
Xxxxxx - Norris - Giroux
Greig - Pinto - Xxxxxx
Xxxxxx - Xxxxxx - Gaudette
MacEwen

Need a dynamic 2nd line and 3rd line forward

Some of us were a bit of a "broken record" during the thick of the rebuild with the inexistant asset management, poor veteran support, etc but what is happening today is basically the end result of it. In this extremely competitive league, you just can't afford to make as many mistakes as we did and if the rebuild is not working, look not further than this :

2018 Tkachuk 4th OA
2019 Thomson 19th OA (instead 4th OA)
2020 Stutzle 3rd OA, Sanderson 5th OA
2021 Boucher 10th OA
2022 N/A
2023 N/A
2024 Yakemchuk 7th OA

3 successful high picks out of 7 drafts, 1 TBD and that includes the firesale of the previous core (something that rebuilding teams usually don't have)

I don't know if people really realize how TERRIBLE Pierre Dorion was as a GM, comfortably worst in NHL history

Tkachuk and Chabot #4 and #5 on active players list for games played without playoffs

Just can’t go on like this
