Here's my theory. They started playing better/winning after JM got here, but he thought it was because of him...but it really was because that's what they do once they're out of the mix and the pressure's off. What exactly was the point in having Jacques Martin coach this team last year if some critical changes weren’t coming to the roster? Absolutely nothing has changed. I would have thought at least one of the core pieces would be shipped out last offseason but nope…and here we are again
After the last game, Green said he could feel the team sag once it was 2-0. I predict that they will start playing better after they're out of it again, and Green and co. will think they've righted the ship so go with the same crew next season and find out next November it's SOS (same ole sens). It really does feel like Groundhog Day.
