Went to my first game of the year last night. Binner did not look on form, except for that wicked left arm save that I thought missed the net until the replay. Faulk's turnover fresh out of the penalty box is inexcusable. He had time and fresh legs and he gifted them that goal that was the difference. Also worth noting that high stick that wasn't. Schenn went down and was bleeding and the refs were just like "sucks to suck." On the plus side, Thomas looks healthy. Hopefully that helps us with our zone entries, which are well below-averagre. Don't like Peru's penchant to pinch and caused an odd-man rush last night. Decision-making is so crucial as a defenseman. It helps the tank at least.

I'm surprised to hear all of the Buccigross love in the GDT. I remember a couple years ago, a buncha y'all ripped him apart for whatever reason, while I praised him.

He's fun, funny, smart and savvy. Who didn't love "mitts of marinara"?!?!?!?

Keeps what up? His blistering 16 points and -28 +/- pace over 82 games? Dallas paid to get rid of him and he is playing worse than he did there. Even at 50% retention, there will be better option available for a $1.675 cap hit after full retention. He's pacing for career lows in faceoffs, advanced stats and points per game. He'll have to do a lot more than keep it up if we want to get a 4th much less a 2nd.
I don't disagree that we're not talking about a world beater here at this stage of his career but he can definitely still skate, I think the eye test looks better the numbers, and depth centerman w/ 80 games of playoff experience always draw interest at the deadline. 2nd? Ya, that might be pushing it.

I think Katie's does some things really well, but a lot of their menu is "our unique take on X" type items that only vaguely resemble what you usually expect from that item. Execution aside, that was possibly the worst place in St. Louis to get a chicken parm if you are someone who likes a real chicken parm. And then it looks like they also overcooked the hell out of the chicken.
I’ve never been to Katie’s but based on what I’ve heard I don’t have any plans to go soon.

Definitely agree he could have chosen much better for a chicken parm meal.

$34 for a 34¢ piece of burned chicken. Where's the quality control? Who's running the pass?

Faulk absolutely sucks. He loves to talk a big game to the media about how our losses are “unacceptable” but he does very little on the ice to help anything.

Now that Krug might become LTIRetired, jettisoning Faulk and his contract should be Army’s next priority on the blueline in the offseason.

Good grief, you guys never disappoint. Let's just get rid of Faulk, Schenn, Tex, Faksa, Suter, Binner and call up the Thunderbirds to ride out the rest of the season. So many overreactions around here after a loss lol.

We were one deflected shot away from taking this game to OT and everyone is acting like the sky is falling and the whole team sucks. Get a grip y'all.

You get so offended any time someone criticizes this team lmao (except for Kyrou, that’s the only player you seem fine with the negativity for). I get that you love the Blues but if you can’t handle players getting bashed, maybe take a break from posting.

My post was only about Faulk so I’m not advocating getting rid of the entire team, and my post wasn’t just about the game last night. Are you honestly happy with the performance we’ve gotten out of Faulk for the past, I don’t know, 2 years at least? He’s not good. Aging, bad defensively, is supposedly an offensive defenseman and doesn’t even contribute much on the PP. $6.5 million sure sounds like a deal for that player!

I really didn't think you were serious about getting rid of Faulk. You were frustrated and fired off a post. No big deal.

Just know that many of us here simply love to give each other some shit. It's all good.

I just find is amusing when some Joe Schmo makes a comment that some pro athlete "sucks" as if you have any idea what you're talking about. Yeah it would be nice to have all stars at every position, but in the real world most hockey players have flaws or off nights. Everyone knows Faulk had injury issues last year but I've been mostly satisfied with his play this year. He's probably cooled off since Broberg went down but I certainly don't think he "sucks" at playing hockey. He's had more good games than bad ones this season. Maybe people can appreciate what Krug brought to the PP now that he's out but oh yeah, he's trash too according to most people around here.

Thanks for your tip but I'll do what I feel like doing. If I take a break from posting on this site, it will only because some of the horrible takes make my head hurt and the constant negativity gets tiring. Yeah Kyrou has his flaws as well but I'd never say he sucks as a hockey player. If a lot of fans had their way, we'd put half the roster on waivers at some point during the season which shows why they're just fans who have no clue how to run a hockey team.

We lose a close game against a hot team and everyone rushes here to post their hot takes about which players suck and who needs to be dumped. I'm just wondering what people get out of being so negative all the time. It gets old. Everyone knew we would be an average or below average team this year, and getting rid of all the players you dislike isn't gonna change that.
