Watching this game I can see why people hate 1st overall picks before the draft even happens, no matter what terrible plays Hughes makes, they're all over his nuts.

Seems he just tries to do a little too much at times, and tries to get a bit too cute. No denying his skill-set though. He seems to be the better skater between he and his brother from what I've seen.

I think thats exactly what it is, but you can't do that in the NHL. They'll make you pay for mistakes way more often and the skating and puck handling won't be as effective. I wish he'd just simplify. He could be a really good defenseman, but plays too much of a junior style.
