Sorry guys, teaching and won't be available to update this much until 3pm, and then I have exactly one hour to fix it--so whatever info you want and need, let me know and ill patchwork one together

Gameday boys!!! And we have a GDT! Thanks RJ!

Very excited to see Forbort again, he was somewhat solid last game, made some nice plays (some nice breakups, specifically, and played the body well)

PHI is a playoff, young team, who isn't any pushover. I hope our boys aren't taking this game lightly and that Sutter has them prepared. Zatkoff looked real nice last game, so hope isn't lost with our interim netminder.

Ghost is a beast and will be a treat to watch, but here's to him getting stymied by our Boys.

Gonna be a fun one boys. Hope McNabb holds up his end of his pairing (does Sutter move him back with DD at some point?), and Greene doesn't **** the bed (Gravel, again, we await thee).

See y'all in the GDT, those of you who don't have me on ignore lol

King on top line grrrrr but i am interested on seeing clifford on 3rd line. I think he needs more mins and him on 3rd line does it. Hoping to have our defense tighten up a bit so zatkoff gets less shots than normal and gets his confidence up . Most of all GO KINGS GO

Forget the flair, we're gonna have this thread crack-a-lacking during the game. Unless PHI comes out and scores a couple quick (pun?) goals, then even my energy will be deflated.

There's a lot to be excited for tonight. What are you guys looking for?

Just out of curiosity, why do you like Clifford?

well it started out me defending him a lot. I also love how physical he plays. I love his work ethic always trying to improve. It my version of cheering for a underdog as he gets a lot of flack in here but is only playing under 10 mins most games. I know it's different to cheer for a 4th liner for most folks but i do As stated before i'm not a typical poster in here and thank god never will be. I have my own opinions and will continue to make them despite whatever the long term posters (both here and other places think)

Well, you didn't ask me, but...

High energy, high motor, goes after the puck well in the corners. Strong on defense, solid fourth liner. One of our most physical players. A firecracker of sorts. Doesn't create plays, skates mediocre but his energy and leadership are his strengths. Hence fourth line.

His crazy eyes...

The GDT should be a reflection of the previous game's effort level. This one is great.

I was thinking that as I wrote it, thanks

One thing I DONT think our system does well--and it's one of the things being most exploited lately--is take away the d-man as both a trailer AND a point shot. Theoretically, the 'protect home plate' thing would lead to blocking d-men shots, but the more skilled offensive d-men in the league--like Burns, as the best example lately--have zero problem getting a quick, deadly shot through and past traffic (which appears to be one of Quick's biggest weaknesses). So, we're getting a lot of outside goals scored on us because one of our guys gets in the lane--causing a screen--but without keeping the puck out of danger. It's also strange because even though our backcheck is ferocious, similar to the previous problem, we collapse too hard and are vulnerable to the 2nd and 3rd waves. Sucks watching it an yelling at the TV when I see it being a system problem...sort of like how under Terry Murray a guy could just fade to the high slot and be completely uncovered because it was a soft spot in the system coverage. Argh.

Anyway, watch for it tonight, Ghost will get open lots on both natural skill/speed AND because he's wide open due to a system issue. He's getting multiple points.
