You guys are hilarious I would take him on the Canucks in a ****ing heartbeat

Yea, I'd take him on my team in a heartbeat too, but I also need way more than him if I want to get to the cup. So if he's my best offensive guy, we're not going anywhere.

Well, buddy, Weber wasnt on the ice on the 2nd goal and he had Kreider(his man) on the 3rd... But eh, good try!!

Well buddy he was in the penalty box on the 2nd (stupid penalty) and he made a soft turnover on the 3rd..But eh, good try!!

Should have traded Subban for the Oilers package and help rebuild this disaster of a team.

Someone will eventually have to do that with Price, Patches (maybe not cause of his nice contract & wearing C though), Gallagher and/or Shaw. Of course there'll be some holdovers who stay to "mentor" the next group. But it won't be Bergy doing the dirty deeds most likely IMO. He'll only be the guy to make sideways or desperate moves to retain his job and keep trying to win in the now so you'd see a few of Galchenyuk, Beaulieu, Hudon, Sergachev, McCarron and/or Scherbak gone when it's obvious with a 1st or 2nd round exit that we are not going anywhere near Cup contender status.

Basically, MB will make more moves in vain that will only pile on top of the many issues his successor will have to deal with and erase. God if we let him do thast I'd be way more pissed than if we sold off our assets! Bergevin will only do this if Molson tells him to if he wants to keep his job but I doubt that happens. He'd probably can MB before ever issuing such a directive. Geoffy will be sitting in the same chair as 2012 & 2016 apologizing for the Habs being boring and spinning their wheels in the mud but they're gonna rebuild a la Leafs/Oilers/Sabres and it'll be painful yada yada yada. Good luck raising ticket prices then!

WHo wouldnt you? its not like your team has had any great success in the playoffs any way.

I meant it more like the guy is a hell of a hockey player and you guys are lucky to have him

All the missed opportunities at the start of the 2nd will haunt the Habs. Also even if the Rangers PP is bad those penalties kill the momentum gain. It's a bit unusual because since CJ took over the Habs have been one of the least penalized team in the league and they're showing the opposite right now. The refs missed some obvious calls on the Rangers but it doesn't mean because they missed it once, they'll miss it again.

I don't think it's fantasy to get a goal in a disciplined and hard fought 20 minutes no?

Regular season Max is a lot different, than playoff Max. Wearing the C doesn't do him any favours either.

It reminds me of Hal Gill....I loved playoff Gill, but I wanted to choke regular season Gill.

Also, does anyone else find it hilariously ridicuous that we struggled to score all year but Charles Hudon who is lighting up the AHL couldnt get a serious look at?

I don't know much about Hudon's style but does he play a 200 foot game or is he strictly offense? It seems you need to be a 200 foot player to play for the Habs these days if you can put up points.

Julien's Bruins lost the first 2 games to Montreal on home ice in 2011 and came back and won the cup and the Rangers are the worst home team in the NHL among the playoff teams.

This is ridiculous. That team had Peverley as a 3rd liner C and he would be the best center this team had ever had in 5 years if he played here.

Pacioretty has his chance now... time to earn that C, and shed the label of playoff no-show.

You're overrating him, he's a one dimensional sniper that disappears when the pressure is on and only generates offence off odd man rushes. Sucks ass on the PP too.

I have been watching also and I don't think he has been that bad to be honest.

I think the guy just needs a support system

Either we can't score, or can't hold on to a hard earned lead, or "how to suck in the playoffs".

Go habs make me eat crow.

I'll be curious to see what everyone is like when the Habs win this game.

Probably a complete 180 where they forget they were depressed and ready to lynch and trade everyone 5 minutes before

They have to win this.

How ****ing bad would it look on Bergevin making the movements and preaching what he has since he traded Subban about "going for it" only to get ousted in the 1st round?
