I'd prefer the players to have an attitude more like "we're going to score, and we're going to win". If they're already saying they're not going to score, then they won't. Pretty simple really. The game isn't just physical.

Definitely isn't just physical, but it's more than possible to be both realistic and optimistic at the same time. Not too worried they're going to think themselves out of scoring... at this stage
